Why do they wait so long between releases? I really can't wait until the next one. But by that time I will have forgotten all the important, gripping, heartwrenching things that happened in this one. If you want to be totally absorbed in another world, this is the movie to see.

Once you've gotten over the awe of seeing how Jackson was going to film the trilogy it's hard not to be let down. Being the middle book there is less to work with in terms of story line. The movie was stunning to look at but it could have been cut by at least 20 minutes. What this film needed was more chase and battle scenes and more scenes of people fighting or running away from/to someone/people/things.

Great movie. Better than the first one... except that still can't see it as one real movie... it's just one third of it ;) definitely something you want to see in the theatre for the special effect.

I have seen this movie 5 times. I LOVE IT! I recommend seeing the first of the trilogy (The fellowship of the ring) before going to see this one. I would say that the people who don't like this movie probably haven't seen the first and found it hard to follow. The acting is first rate, the effects are the best I have ever seen and the story line leaves you wanting to see more. GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!

This was an excellent movie whitch shoud have deserved more awards at the oscars but it didn't sadly but it was way better then the first. As long as no one in the theater starts yelling or being anoyying, then you will fall in love with this movie.

It was the best movie I ever saw! It was way above my expectations for it to relate to the book. But I suggest to read the book before you see the movie for an even better expience and understanding of the movie. But you don't even need to read the book to fully enjoy this awesome! Movie.

I thought the movie was great. I have very diverse taste. I loved 8 Mile, Kung Pow, etc. There all different but I liked them all. The Lord Of The Ring definitely goes on "I loved it" list. And Legolass!! Ahh... But if you don't have the patience for talking and stuff don't go.

This is the best movie of the entire year... and other than the first one there is no better movie ever made. Peter Jackson and the entire cast excluding Elijah Wood deserve academy awards. Anyone who does not appreciate this movie is either too young to sit through it or too [...] to fully understand the underlying characters, images, and plots [...]

I get excited for the battle at Helm's Deep every time I see it (saw it 4 times... so far) Peter Jackson did a phenomenal job putting the book onto screen. The scenery is just breathtaking, the acting is incredible, and the fight scenes are absolutely outstanding. I was amazed with all of the witty humour involved in the movie (Gimli is hilarious and who can say anything bad about Golem, seriously?!) I definitely give this movie 2 thumbs up. I can't wait to see the third (and final, *sob*) installation.

This movie was really great I loved it!! You must see it!! Even if you don't like fantasy the makeup and just the way they put it together is awesome! Legolas (Orlando Bloom) is such a cutie/hottie! The way arwen (Liv Tyler) plays the elf makes me want to be one too!! :(it's a really good movie but it helps if you either read the book or see the first movie first! :)

Lord of the Rings-the two towers-entensive work that is impressive and articulate. The directing was brilliant, the movie refected precisely the content of the book. The film is about frodo baggins the one hobbit who is able to destroy the ring and the evil it carries. Through deception and battle, he is the only hope for the people. A legendary adventure that is sure to entice you!

If you haven't seen it yet, then you better go and see it NOW! It won't be the same on video; catch it before it goes off the big screen. It was so good that I saw it twice! Truely a classic that can't be made any better..

This is an incredible translation of the book into film, I think Peter Jackson really outdid himself with the casting, location choices, and in general production and post-production of this movie. It's just so beautiful; you can't miss out!

I've have read the book 3 times (once per decade since I was a teenager) I've watched The fellowship 3 times at the movies and the DVD extended version a least 5-6 times (if not 7) I've watched The Two Towers 3x and am seeing if I can possibly see it one last time before I have to leave my Tolkein fantasy world and join the 21st century again. I am pleased to be able to be born in the time when the Tolkien story has finally been successfully told on the screen and it will remain my all time favourit movie. An important film.

This movie is the best movie I have ever seen. Anybody who says different has either no life or has extremely bad taste in movies. If you keep whining and complaining about how the movie wasn't true to the book I'm gonna puke. It doesn't matter because it was an amazing movie anyways.

Truly wonderful. I'm a devoted fan of the books, having read them numerous times since my childhood. I did not find Jackson's deviations from the original to be a problem or to detract in any way from the experience. Go see it, it's wonderful.

I think, the oscar *award* decisions are made when they were drunk. Nominated for just 6 oscars... and a stupid movie like chicago (or the hours (9) is nominated for 13 oscars... I can't believe this. lord of the rings is the best movie ever.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.]
Well... while I can't claim to be a "hard-core" Tolkienite, I'm certainly a loyalist. Its unfortunate that Jackson had to take such sweeping license with a masterwork of fantasy-fiction. The Two Towers was downgraded to something only slightly better than what might have been called "the further adventures of Aragorn in Middle-Earth" in this installment of the trilogy. Legolas "skate-boarding" on a shield down a flight of stairs, Gimli giving oxygen to the phrase "You'll have to toss me", Aragorn falling off a cliff and having a near-death experience, a Warg attack that never happened... I'm sorry, but having read the trilogy, the Silmarillion, and the Unfinished Tales, I have no doubt in my mind that Tolkien didn't need any help. The Two Towers is no more the "black sheep" of this trilogy than I am the Queen of England -- Jackson has repeatedly tried to defend his rendering of the story by saying that the second book is "the in-between child -- the story where nothing much happens". What?! It's a very dark, scary installment of the tale! There's plenty of suspense, close calls and hard-won victories to be had there. Had Jackson not wasted fifteen minutes or more of screentime on scenes of false tension, sub-plots which outright rob the entire story of its foundations, (for example, making the Ents look like utter morons) , and cheap gags, he could have shown us the Huorns reducing Sauron's armies to compost, we would have felt the deep intensity of the fear and helplessness of Men (for it was supposed to be Man's fight to win or lose in Helm's Deep -- the elves never went there) locked in what they could only have seen as a futile last-stand, Faramir would have revealed himself to be an individual in stark contrast to his brother (ie: he was neither tempted by, nor had any desire to seize the Ring, never mind the fact he didn't take Frodo anywhere near Osgiliath) , and, among other things, we'd know that because Arwen is the child of Elrond Half-Elven, she can choose whether to follow the immortals OR follow the fate of Men (ie: ultimately, to die) Yes, the special effects were again outstanding, and yes, there were moments in this film that, like the ENTIRE first installment, one felt like "oh wow, now we're getting back to the story". But The Two Towers fell far short of the intensely riveting high-standard set by the first film. I'm praying that Jackson can bring back some of the magic he achieved with Fellowship in the Return of the King this December.

OMG this was the best movie ever well actually this one plus the fellowship and I'm sure the next one will be just as great I can't wait!! As for it not being true to the book well I can't say that the part with Faramir didn't annoy me but honestly I'm sure the movie would not have been so great if they had stayed 100% true to the book!! And really that's the only bad thing you can say about this movie because the actors (go Elijah! And Orlando! And Ian, Viggo, Billy, Liv... the list is just too long!!) , the costumes, the scenes were all amazing!!! Thanx Peter you really created an amazing movie totally worth the time and money!! Can't wait to get it on DVD!! GO SEE IT NOW!!!!!!
