I thought the movie was interesting though I find Eminem himself facinating I wonder if he could play a different part than this. Kim Bassinger as the alcoholic mother worked better for me than I had thought. She pretty well pulled that off despite my usuall cynicism concerning her acting ablility. The ending was not expected. Everyone I talked to thought he'd get a contract and be on his way. Instead he decided to put his life in line and work for it. Plug away at his dreams. This actually pleased me since it was more realistic.
