[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] The Recruit is a very intense thriller that keeps you on your toes and guessing what is real and what is a test throughout the movie. I'm a little tired of seing Al Pacino's "haven't bathed in a week look" thought. He's pretty much played the same character in every movie for the last 15 years. As for working on films with Mr. Pacino as a camera focus puller, he is notorious for purposely getting them fired because he has a perticular focus puller he likes to work with. So don't get too excited if and when he comes to town to make a film. So back to the movie... After James Clayton (Colin Farrell) , finally gets settled into his new "low security clearance" job in the CIA, he is asked by Walter Burke (Al Pacino) to go on a secret mission to spy on his previous love interest Layla (Bridget Moynahan) The biggest flaw in the story is that Burke (Al Pacino) , was giving Layla a mission to steal a deadly computer program from their main computer for Burk to sell on the black market. Why put Clayton on a mission to try to put a stop to her? This would pretty much defeat the whole purpose of Burk trying to steal the program in the first place. Anyways, this story has such a flaw that makes this movie forgettable...
