A nice modern fairy tale - certainly dressing up 1950's Alabama the way fairy tales dress up medieval France and Germany. However isn't that just a little bit problematic? While charming and fun, and beautifully shot, I still don't get why becoming a big catfish is somehow like making it through to and through the pearly gates with flying colours.
