House of the Dead [2003] Movie Reviews on CinemaClock

Okay, I'm embarrassed I even wrote a review of this movie, but I wanted to warn fellow horror movie/video game fans not to waste their time and money. This movie could've been a lot better than it is. Low budget? I appreciate that it tries to have a storyline (even though I don't think it's that believable), but the flashes of the video game every 5 minutes is an insult to intelligence. If I wanted to play the game, I would've stayed outside and played it in the arcade! I probably would've had a better time. The acting is bad, the action sequences are Matrix-style rip-offs, the 360-degree view of every character as they're killing the zombies is overdone and all the killings aren't shown. The zombies are well done though, I jumped once (probably because of the volume though), despite its shortcomings and everything it tries to be but isn't, there are some cool things in it and the ending's not bad, I'll give it that. Overall a cheesy movie though.
