An entertaining and attention holding little picture that deserves to be seen. Story is centered around Old vs. New Las Vegas and convincingly depicts the tension and hostility between two competing economic philosophies. Mixed in is the theme of 'Lady Luck' and how it affects the lives of all characters in the story. Loyalty and friendship are also important themes of The Cooler and combined these themes create the framework for a captivating and compelling movie. Excellent performances plus wonderful direction make this picture a must see.
