The content of this movie can (and should) be cross referenced with other economics books. Specifically, a Simon Fraser University macro-economics course called "The Commanding Heights". Google it. Then make up your own mind. I'd like to ask all the people giving the movie a 2/10 to please add some supporting references to their opinions that: "this movie is crap" and "inaccurate". The real world is more complicated sure, but the general tendency of this movie is towards what I believe to be true. Basic concepts and oversimplified in order to be understood, not smeared. If you're interested in a crash course in Socio-Economics, see this movie and run to your local library and rent the 3 DVD set " The Commanding Heights" [...]

The corporation is a good movie but it is certainly not a real movie in the real sense of the term, I would like to go see this movie again, maybe one day with my kids (if I ever have the chance to have some)during the Christmas holidays when everyone else is outside having problems with gaba inhibition with their obsessive needs to buy something bigger and greater *)*) Illusory needs. M. m.

I believe the general populace is unaware of all the things the coporations in collusion with the Governments, are doing. These are things that affect our daily lives, and if left unchecked, our lives themselves. Watch this with an open mind and it may just change your life or at least the way you look at things in general. Or just tell me I'm wrong.

Numerous subjects are approached although not sufficiently studied in depth. They should focus on one problem at the time. Nevertheless, good resume of our environmental and social problems although documentary biased in its making.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.]
It had a lot of good content, but it was really too biased. A lot of the ideas were correct but were applied in a old or incorrect manner. Yes pollution is a problem but if you have read any of the environmental stories in the last decade you will see the huge progress North America has made in its environment. The problem is the third world is the biggest polluter but this movie does not make that separation very well. Also they are presenting the corporations too close to America. How do you hold an international company with offices in 20 counties accountable? This movie make it seem like American legislation can save the world - in reality these national companies loosing some footing in America is more of a logistical problem which wont have any long term profits implications. After all, the majority of the manufactured goods in this country are made over seas - it does not matter if X-Corporation has offices in America - American stores will still stock their products and we will still buy them.

Excellent film. Very good way of putting the idea across and indeed both sides do get a chance to speak their piece. Though more the against than for- but hey the big corporations get to put their story out all the time. This film provides a much needed conter weight to the multinational view. Well worth the effort, we need more films like this- and in particular we need more people to watch them.

Probably one of the most important films you'll ever see. Instead of coming away depressed, I felt enlightend. It seems that getting a good picture of the monster and how it works, should be the key to taming it. I was inspired by the countries that are fighting the oppression of corporations that would dictate what they eat and drink.

Pure agit-prop. Embarrassingly sophomoric and uninformed. Anyone who studies economics or the real issues of corporate governance finds this film's analysis or recommendations laughable. Not even any redeeming entertainment value.

A must-see. Note to those who are saying it was biased or unbalanced: If you're concerned that corporations just never get a chance to have their say, turn on network TV at any time of day or night and watch anything that's on (big corporations are paying for it, and will withdraw their support if they don't approve, after all) Pay special attention to the commercials. But then, you've been doing that all your life already. You already know that at McDonald's you and especially your kids will have a fun and wholesome experience. You already know that by buying Nikes you will excel at sports and become popular. You already know that buying the "leading brand" of deodorant will make people run away at your horrific stench. Is two and a half hours just too long to be away from the wonders of corporations trumpeting their own goodness?

Well, yes, the movie is a bit long, and maybe you've heard a bit about these things before, but it does leave you with a good idea of issues that you may want to explore further. It's well done and riveting if you have a stake in world issues and personal responsibility. For those who say that people don't understand free trade and everything it entails as a means of protecting that system against criticism, consider that perhaps the issue should never have become too complicated for average citizens to understand. You vote with your dollars, so if you don't know where your money is going (I. E in the corporate machines) spend it where you do know... there are tailors and designers who'd love to provide you with beautiful clothes, as well as markets and alternatives that let the average north american citizen choose a responsible informed alternative to supporting corporations in most everything. My philosophy is that if I can't talk to the person who's going to profit from the money I spend, there must be too many people taking a cut... and I'm better off going somewhere else. It's nice to see som any comments and discussion... any movie that promotes intelligent conversation deserves a place!

Wow. What a great movie. I may never drink milk in the US again!! Very good points. Sure, a bit extreme at times, but when you are a lone voice in a crowd of oposition, you wont be heard unless you yell.
