Charming version of the novel. Although the novel was quite better, this movie had its own charm that captured the hearts of many young people.

Fun, playful, enchanting! A modern twist to a fairytale. It was cleverly scripted out, the images are bright and enchanting, and the songs were cute enough to make your head bob. It was without a doubt different from Gail Carson Levine's novel, but not in a bad way. It took on a different concept and stuck with it. So I say, it's worth seeing, especially on days you just feel glum!! It'll put a smile on your face!

I loved this movie. It's nice to see a movie that everyone can see. It had a super funny "plot". It also had a hidden "message". Do we always do what others tell us? Or do we have a mind of our own. Once Ella realized that she always had the "power", she made wise decisions. The actors were funny and it was a nice place to go to. Especially when the world around us isn't always so pleasant.

DVD: "Ella Enchanted (Widescreen)"
Real cute movie. Very girly romance. Very fun. Has somewhat of a Shrek feel to it (modern day fairy tale land)

This movie was amazing and if you love romance, and Cinderella and never dreamed of being a princess you should definitely go see it. I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I did!!! Anne Hathaway and Hugh Dancy were excellent actors and actresses!! Oh ya don't forget to read the novel it's just as good as the movie. Especially for people who like to read and get movie details. Although the book is kind of different than the movie. Anyways enjoy people!!!

This movie was ok... if you're not a levine fan. The movie was basically a chopped up, twisted version of Ella Enchanted. Actually there were so many character changes, plot changes, and so on, that I think it's safe to say that it had its own plot and the only things that were the same were the characters. If you haven't read the book, then I suggest you watch the movie first, then read the book. The book will seem MUCH better that way! ;)

I love love this movie... my girls and I originally saw this at the theatre and couldn't wait for it to come out on DVD. We've watched it at least once a day since we bought it the day it was released. Its full of romance and its funny too. I love Anne Hathaway and lets just Hugh Dancy is truly charming!! There is definite chemistry between the actors portraying Ella and Hugh... Did I mention Hugh is a Hottie!! ;)

If you didnt read the book, then the movie is good, fun, and cute. But then again, if you have read the book, you're in for a surprise! The movie is NOTHING like the story in the book. I was quite disapointed. But it was a good movie anyway. The actors did an amazing job. And I find the actress that played Olive was fantastic!

It was alright movie, I supose, though I was really dissapointed because I've read the book lik, ton of times and there was some really funny and important scenes in the book that would be awsum in the movie. And when I saw how much they changed it and everything, I was very, VERY disappointed in it. Im sry to say as well that some of the character didn't stay true to the books discripions and some characters weren't even mentioned, not to mention that they added characters that didn't need to be added. And the ending, a total mess up. Oh ya, and I think they should have intordude the chacters a bit more as well, if u didn't read the book, u would have a hard time understanding who's who and where they came from. I, for one, am extreamly dissapointed in this movie. If u want to know the REAL story, read the book. Its much better. Other than that, if u havn't read the book and don't know what its about, then by all means, watch the movie and enjoy it. My mom sure did.

So funny! It's noting like the book but it's a great film none the less. And having the gorgeous Hugh Dancy as Char didn't hurt either!

One day I asked my dad to buy me "A cinderella story" and he came home with "Ella enchanted". I'm grateful for this mistake. The movie is definitely great, I appreciate Anne's performance in this one, it's so much better than princesse diaries. If u love romance and cinderella and dreaming, that would be your first choice. Don't miss it! A beautiful story.

I first read the book, and I loved it, I must have read it 15 times in the past year. I loved the movey because I've always believed in magical things and witchcraft so this was like a real story for me. Unlike Go see it! It's the best movie yet!

This movie had no charm. It wasn't funny and the romance was corny and not believable. It was just a really beautiful girl who had no substance or reason for us to like her other than her good looks. Of course a man falls head over heels for her only because she is gorgeous. Terrible movie.

That was sooo awesome! It was really funny plus, I love romances! Even some guys will like it. Lots of twists and parts you wish that you could change when it happens but it all works out. Very good casting and plot. Good for all ages I think. If you like romance, MUST see it. If you like comedy, MUST go see it. And if you like both, perfect movie for you!

A modern way to tell a fairy tale! A good modern way to tell a good fairy tale! Good actors' play, good screenplay, good cinematographic effects! Good taste! Bring your daughter and son to watch it! Why not your grandfather and grandmother, too? Bring the family! It is... enchanting!

Great for the kids; entertaining for an 'adult'. As previously noted, it really is Shrek meets Cinderella. Nice special effects and actually a decent storyline. Worthy of a matinee...

When I heard this book was being made into a movie I was really excited. This has been my favorite book since the third grade. It has a girl full of spunk and wit and is filled with all kinds of magical creatures. However, the movie did not stay true to the book other than the spell part. A horrible movie.

This movie was awful!! It didnt' follow the book at all. Yes, I know that books are better than movies, but this was just a disgrace. This movie makes the book look bad. The people who made this movie "Hollywoodized" it, and the way I see it, if it's not broke don't fix it, and the book definitely wasn't broken.

If you like shrek, princess bride or cinderella then you have to go see it! The movie is not like the book but I still loved it, it was more then great!! I found that Olive did not do her part well, Hatty was a brat! And Ella and Char were really good. If you like kissing and a good ending you should go see it. It is intertaining and fuuny and misterious. Ella is pritty and Char is hot, Hatty is a brat and is a stupid twit, what can I say? It is good and funny! I recamend it!

I read the book before the movie came out. But, I didnt even finish the book! It was sooo boring(the book I meen) So then the movie came out and I thought 'how dumb, its going to be boring'. But then I saw the movie and I have to say I liked it a lot. A few scenes we different from the book, I didnt expect it to be that good. Near the end theres a 'scary' part but still a great family movie!

Ella enchanted... sounds like a cute fairytale right... wrong... this is a cheep knockoff. Ive read the book, I bet the writter didnt. The movie strays so far off track from the book it was insane. But that wasnt the worst part... the cheezy romance was. Id say you would have to be less than 5 years old to enjoy this movie.
