The Stepford Wives [2004] Movie Reviews on CinemaClock

I really enjoyed this picture... there were scenes in this movie that had me laughing from beginning to end. That said the second half of the picture is also a mystery story with an unusual twist ending that you likely wont see coming which for me is a great thing because who wants to know whats coming before it happens. If you think you would enjoy dark humor that satirizes such things as the American Dream of success, woman with drive and ambition, domestic perfection, marriage, the American family, Martha Stewart culture, reality TV et cetera, you will likely enjoy this movie a lot. If you identify with any of these things you could very likely hate this picture and call it a piece of crap or other such amphigory. That would be too bad, because its all in fun and not to be taken seriously in and of itself. Instead, Stepford serves as a very effective vehicle with which to think about and discuss subjects that some might find to sensitive to deal with directly. For that I give it high marks and my full endorsement.
