[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] I give this film a 1/10, only for the Goa scenery. Hollywood's attempt to make a more credible-looking spy action thriller by using dark blurry choppy camera work fails miserably. That style may be suitable for brief instances but it's overdone to the point where it's annoying and boring. Of course, this shaky Blair-Witch style saves a lot of money for producers, avoiding time-consuming and costly realistic action stunts. But more important is the ridiculous story and depiction of a botched foreign operation. Just spend some time reading real spy stories and do some research on the internet about how intelligence truly works, and you'll realize what a joke this movie is. In reality, an espionage operation involves large teams of inconspicuous agents, posing as average-looking couples, tourists or business professionals. They're trained to be extremely low-key, exchanging messages with team partners in the most discreet manner. The number #1 rule is never to attract attention in public, board flights left and right, stroll around dowtown without disguise, let alone engage in spectacular car chases, even if operations mess up or agents rebel. What this movie is about is how supposedly cool Matt Damon is, and how stupid we're all supposed to be to fall for this crap. Here's some good intelligence: see another movie!
