Its romantic, its funny and Colin Firth is as sexy as ever. Every time I watch I fall in love with him all over again.

My wife and I enjoyed the movie as we did the first one, this is a very well-casted movie, a refreshing romantic comedy.

The problem is the first one was so good that the chance of the sequal being good was unlikely. You have to just 'go with it' and not expect too much. It has some good laughs and if you like the characters it's worth checking out.

I have to admit to not understanding why the first movie was such a hit. But I thoroughly enjoyed the sequel, maybe because having seen the original (which was a disappointment) and going into the second without great expectations I was just able to sit back and enjoy it.

Although, as "Part II" of a very fun film, this issue stood up! I was thoroughly entertained and had a really good feeling about the film generally. Friends had panned the piece but I would recommend it purely from a fun point of view.

Bridget Jones Diary - one of my favorite movies of all time. The edge of reason - walked out after 30 minutes because I could no longer tolerate the pain I was feeling at how awful this sequel was. [...]

Très bon film, à voir si vous avez aimé ''Bridget Jones' Diary''.

[...]Among the top five worst movies I've ever seen. EVER. I'd blame it on a lousy script because the first movie (played with the same actors) was entertaining enough. But this was was intolerable.

How to describe this movie... basically don't go if you wish to stay within the edge of reason... the movie itself might have been good, but it is to predictable even the problems Bridget encounters during her voyage and the music is so pathetic that even the most romantic person (man or woman) will gag at this movie. Also is Bridget really supposed to be fat, please she has what 5-10 pounds to lose... c'mon they must be laughing at us or something!!! I was a fan of Bridget Jones but this sequel killed it for me.

It was alright, but you need to see the first movie to experience the complete funniness of the sequel, and unfortunately a lot of people had not seen the first movie.

I really enjoyed this movie. I love the "bridget Jones" series and the 1st movie is one of my favourites and the 2nd movie was really entertaining too... I was so happy to see Colin Firth and Hugh Grant in a movie together again... I love those guys! You'll enjoy this movie because it continues along the same entertaining spirit and quirkiness as the 1st movie. Have fun!

Disappointing after the first one. She is portrayed as ditzy, dumb and desperate. Not something I would want to relate to. Not recommended.

To anyone new to Bridget Jones -- who hasn't read the books, nor seen the first movie -- I imagine this could be a pretty good movie. It's entertaining, there are some laughs, and the plot is decent. Yes, there are some flaws, particularly in the weak writing, the cheap gags, and the plot contrivance, but it's not bad. As a fan of the books, however, I must say it's a terrible adaptation. I was distracted throughout by the glaring differences. I realize movies often stray from the books on which they're based, but in this case it serves no purpose, and weakens what could have been a good film.

The sequel fell flat after the first one. I felt it could've had a richer plot instead of the see through lacy doily quality of little snippets of events and interaction with new and past characters. I think the director was hoping to lure back the original audience. He succeeded but I doubt the movie could pull off a third installment.

Very poor effort... maybe a rental, but have a board game to play while it's on...

What rubbish! Other than money one wonders what would compel an actress with some talent to make this stinker - perhaps the 10 quid admission in Leicester Sq reveals the reason. As for that fellatio artist, he mailed in his performance, if a one act parody is a performance. Wouldn't the world and certainly film be a better place without toothsome winsome Hugh. Who would ever identify or have any interst in these characters, brigit a pathetic looser, the rest silly cariciatures, condemned to act out some rubbishy farce dressed up as social coment. If you must indulge in this slop perhaps you should do so privately at home between episodes of Dr. Phil comforted with a bowl of ice cream.

I found this movie disappointing compared to the first. It was also rather "tacky". A good job was done to portray Bridget's feelings of inadequacy but I found myself feeling sorry for her instead of finding it funny. Unfortunately, the relationship with Mark Darcy was unconvincing.

I fell in love with bridget in the first movie but in this one, she was just so darn ditsy and just plain stupid! It was so predictable! I was extremely disappointed in this movie even though it had its moments (just a few... )

I was very disappointed in the movie. The first was a hit and was well worth the money. This movie wasn't worth what we paid to see it.

Comedy needs to be somewhat realistic and clever to be funny, this has neither. Poor plot, movie drags on, comedy that just isn't funny (is that still comedy? ) Save your money, this movie goes nowhere and ends up in the gutter.

I am disappointed that people are critizing the movie for the "unbelievable" prison section and "bad writing." This movie, just like the first, originated as a novel by Helen Fielding so if you feel like critizing the plot-line, read the novel first. Both the first and second movies did not stray much from the novel. A few things that I would critize the movie for, specifically, would be the awful discrepancy and class distinction created between Bridget and Mark Darcy. In the novels Bridget is not as nearly as pathetic as needy and Mark is not a perfect man that could theoretically never go for a girl like Bridget. Personally, I don't think that this discrepancy was necessary since the novels are funny enough without Bridget making a complete fool out of herself every 5 minutes. Overall, the second movie was pretty much the same as the first and much of the humor is recycled (I mean, relationships haven't changed in the last 2 years since the release of the first) The movie's good for a chuckle once it comes out on DVD.

Well the first one was unexpectedly delightful. This one, well we knew what we were getting into, but still was funny and warming. I know that if u saw the first one, u'll watch this one for sure, or u'll be drag to go see this by others even if u didn't see the first one.
