Woody Allen delivers a well written and driected story, he also plays an enjoyable character in the film.

This movie was better than I expected, but still seemed to be missing something. I thought Jackman did a great job, and was really believable, but thought Johansson was coasting though her role. I expected more of her, to be honest. Woody Allen is Woody Allen, love him or hate him, that is who is portrays in this movie. Some funny scenes with English society meets low brow Brooklyn society, but a little overdone near the end. The plot was a little patchy in the middle and it came together a little too fast near the end, but I still think it deserves a 7.5 out of 10.

Good comedy saved mostly by Allen. He is great! Scarlett & Woody play off each other well. By in large, wasn't impressed by Jackmans' role-play.

Very disappointing film, I think it's about time Woody Allen stop making comedies and perhaps stick to more serious fare? Even the excellent cast couldn't do anything with such painfully bad dialogue... and Woody, it's defintely time you stop acting in your own films!

Mildly amusing, no more. I thought the best part of the movie was Woody playing himself as usual, a stuttering neurotic but lovable misfit. His character WAS funny, definitely steals the movie. And Scarlett Johansson, on the rare occasion where those intentionally awful glasses came off, was gorgeous as always. Although I didn't think her acting was great, her character was just a little too over-the-top naive and ignorant Midwestern stereotype for me - although that's probably how Woody asked her to play it. Hugh Jackman was basically a non-factor - not awful, not great, I barely noticed his performance, although I'm sure the ladies and gay men will have noticed his looks. Story was laughably weak. All in all, mildly entertaining but no more, I didn't regret going but won't be recommending it to people either.

What I hate are the comparisons to Match Point. Woody Allen has two sides to him drama and dry humor. This is one of his best humor that he has released in the past five years. He's on top of his game!

It was nice to see Woody Allen at his usual best. I missed him! Scarlett Johansson was a pleasant surprise as well. The movie had some interesting twists and turns... very light and enjoyable. Take your parents to see this one, maybe leave the kids at home, however!

Witty and hilarious, if a bit pushed as far as the plot goes.

Scoop seemed to me to be a little underdeveloped in terms of story and the motivation of some characters. At only ninety-minutes in length, the story seemed a little contrived. If you can get over that, there is a lot of funny one-liners which I enjoyed and both Mr. Allen and Ms. Johannson give endearing performances. I would have liked this picture to be another thirty minutes in length to fully develop the characters and their motivations, it would have made the ending that much more powerful. Still a great film and worth seeing especially if you're an Allen fan.

I've been a bit off Woody Allen lately so I wasn't prepared to enjoy Scoop as much as I did. I found myself laughly out loud and made myself a promise to buy the movie when it's on DVD. Relax and enjoy it- it is really good!

I found it cute. Not hilarious, but pleasant to watch. I don't know what made me go in the first place, because I'm not that crazy about Woody Allen, but I enjoyed seeing this one.

I loved this movie! Woody Allen is a comedic genius! I have to say that some of his lines kinda got too repetitious and lost their effect after a while although still pleasantly funny (especially the : "You know from the bottom of my heart, I mean that sincerely, you are the best audience I have ever...") Regardless, there isn't much else you can say about Woody Allen expect maybe BRAVO!
