Well, it's a James Bond so you have to see it. That being said, this is the 2nd time I rent it, and still many things escape me. There is a lot going on at the same time, and the viewer has to understand thing on his own. I guess I'm not smart enough... :)

Another fantastic performance by Daniel Craig his portrayal of James Bond is far more realistic than most others such as Pierce Brosnan don't get me wrong I liked Pierce Brosnan but this version of James Bond actually bleeds know and then being a spy means taking a few scrapes here and there. But I digress the plot is pretty cool the show is action packed and has a really interesting plot initially 007 believes the Greene is after a valuable amount of oil but it's the fresh water he's really after that really surprised me excellent film a great edition to the bond franchise I hope Daniel Craig stays on for a few more bond movies.

A sequel in the truest sense of the word. It essentially feels like the second half of a super-extended version of Casino Royale. While it still a great film it is definitely a step down from it's predecessor. The emotion present in the first film is just not there, neither is the intrigue. It's just action, action and more action. It's saving grace is the stellar performances by Daniel Craig and Judi Dench.

Good action I guess and nothing too high-tech (which I think is appropriate for a Bond flick) BUT, no Q, no Bond gadgets and a really weak plot. I like Craig as Bond a lot but the story could have been so much better.

I like the New Bond and the rest of the characters but the story was pretty dull. It just seemed like a bunch of action sequences put together but not much of a story. Not the best Bond Movie.

It's a good movie. I saw it on Blu-Ray and the colours were amazing but the story's a bit thin. If you haven't seen Casino Royal, don't see this. It's a complete follow up. The movie has a lot of Bourne style action and the action is good but sometimes I has wondering why they were doing this. If you like the Bourne series and James Bond, you will probably like this, it's worth seeing.

James Bond wants to become Jason Bourne. This is what this movie should have been called. What I saw in the movie was a transformation of James Bond. It's not the same old James Bond, where there is a big conspiracy, James Bond gets a girl to help him (well he still does) and gets the bad guy (he still does) But his motivation has been changed from being instructed, to being personally driven. Something what Jason Bourne is like. They are trying to re-image Bond into a present world character. For me, who still likes old James Bond like movies, this was a let down.

The new Bond was a marked improvement in the first installment, however it was disappointing to see how that momentum started to slide in this movie. Missing a lot of the elements that are required in a James Bond movie I just hope they get back on track in the next one. In any case, the movie is still very good and entertaining, but in more of a Rambo kind of way.

I still say Sean Connery is the best bond. This movie can’t compare to the original few bond movies now that the special FX are easier to do. Still it was a good movie all and all. I still think Halle Berry was the best bond girl.

I liked it alot. Man, they beat the hell out of Craig again. Weird though, when the movie ended, there were no credits, no music. Screen went black, lights came on. I'll keep going if Craig is Bond.

While I liked Casino Royal I found this one to be a bit dull plot-wise, despite all the action sequences. I could only stand to see Bond run and jump so many times before I found myself looking at my watch wondering when this jumpfest was going to be over. Hopefully the next installment will rely less of forced action sequences and more of a plot.

I totally enjoyed this movie! Daniel Craig and Judy Dench as "M" have brought new life and excitement back into the Bond franchise. I did not miss the cliches and the gadgets. For those who want the "formula" Bond, pick up a DVD and watch Roger Moore.

I think the rating for this movie has averaged out correctly. Basically, the first half of the movie is chase scenes and the second half a revenge film. Not the best Bond movie and not the worst. P. S. I'm glad they got rid of all the gagets and stupidity :-)

I'm wondering if some of the reviews are written out of spite to encourage more viewers to waste their money. It was decent as a mindless action flick but in terms of a plot, I was left confused as to what I had missed since the last Bond movie. Definitely not worth the money to see it in theatres...

My husband and I quite enjoyed the movie. I don't understand why the rating is this low. As commented by a few others, it is indeed a more realistic Bond (a vengeful one) Nevertheless, the movie is packed with action, which makes it worth it to watch it on big screen.

I was told that it was bad going in by a friend who is a huge Bond fan. I was not disappointed but do see that it had elements of being a filler. It seems to me to be the type of build up that once the next segment is released, this one will make more sense in hindsight.

It had all of the action for the big screen. Definitely a movie worth going to see on the big screen. Daniel Craig was very brooding, would have been nice to have seen some of the familiar Bond charm and sense of humour which only seemed to surface once in this movie. Either way, very action packed and entertaining.

The movie as always had good effects, except for the car chase scenes where they go too close to see anything. It has been criticized for showing Bond as a human with flaws, as opposed to a super hero, but it's good they mix it up once in a while. You have to see the previous film though.

If you are looking for old Bond then you will be disappointed. This plays more to an realistic Bond. The "tricks" are out and you see a plot with twists and turns. You know Bond will get him but how and when are the questions. They pay homage to Goldfinger in this one, but you have to be watching. Loved it and can't wait for the next one.

Amazing movie, outstanding if your a person that loves James Bond. Great fighting scenes although there aren't as many as fighting scenes as Casino Royale (2006) Daniel Craig is the best Bond that ever lived.

As an action movie, Quantum of Solace might be decent. But as the follow-up to the superb reimagining of Bond in Casino Royale, this is complete and utter garbage. This film seems to throw away all that was fantastic about Casino Royale and revert to a dumb Bond film that fails to explore Bond's character or motivations, opting instead for poorly filmed action and some truly silly moments (the plane sequence) I will hope that the next Bond returns to what made Casino Royale so good: character development, good, realistic action and scenarios. Until then, I will pretend Quantum of Solace never existed.

I'm a real James Bond fan, and I thought I HAD to see this one. Overall, it didn't lack action-packed scenes, just the usual gadjets, and maybe a bit of humor. Since I've seen Casino Royale countless times, I understood the plot. I recommend seeing Casino Royale first, to get an idea of the film.
