DVD: "Walk All Over Me"
Weirdly marketed, but I'm glad I saw it. It is a movie that I enjoyed with some funny bits to it and a solid cast.

If you are expecting a movie about S&M you might be disappointed. Though it is in there, this movie delivers much more as a thriller, with some very funny sequences. It's only showing for a few more days, and I highly recommend seeing it if you get a chance.

A previous reviewer hit the nail on the head when he said," It's fun to see someone take an outrageous and dangerous situation, then make it spin until you can't help laughing." Fortunately this movie didn't take itself too seriously and consequently, it turned out to be great entertainment. Anyone with a quirkly sense of humour will enjoy it.

It's fun to see someone take an outrageous and dangerous situation, then make it spin until you can't help laughing. The situation isn't completely implausible."Alberta" (LeeLee Sobieski) plays a small-town innocent who thinks she's cannier than she really is. Her wide-eyed hesitant debut as a Dom in a food court, demanding a Slurpee from her nearly-as-naive Sub, is truly a prize. It seems like her desperate attempt to survive in the big city is just a jump out of the frying pan. I would happily recommend this as a date movie; this isn't about sex as much as about tables turning. Though, yes, there is some interesting leatherwear impressively worn, and yes, Tricia Helfer can act very well, thank you, even in stiletto heels. This film is an all-Canadian production, set in Vancouver. Once you get over laughing at a bus from Alberta arriving via the Lion's Gate, Burrand and Granville bridges at... the Seabus Terminal (!?).. you might enjoy recognizing some of the location shots. If you liked "Bon Cop, Bad Cop", or "The Whole Nine Yards", you will really enjoy "Walk All Over Me".
