It was certainly entertaining, but not too original. A twist or two would have made a big difference in my rating. The acting was good though, especially considering the lack of stars.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] I like the movie, this time maniac killers are the one who has to escape and hide. The revenge is no mercy and so violent. It shows that doctor has skills to cure and also to kill people.

Very disturbing movie, yet worth seeing. It shows the worst of human nature and it is hard to watch but interesting. You don't know whether to think of the parents as heroes or villains, especially the Dad of the girl at the end. Some extremely distressing parts, especially the rape scene. It isn't violence for the sake of violence though. It shows what can happen when good people are pushed too far.

This is a gruesome film to watch. I almost walked out but I wanted to see what happened next. This is a horror film with a twist. Be warned: It is very graphic and certainly not for the kiddies.

As a fan of the horror genre, it is refeshing to see something a little different (although just a recreation of a '72 film) I often say that the most fearful creature on this Earth, or in the movies, is man himself. We've had enough of evil spirits, haunted hotels, boogiemen and masked slashers who exist beyond the mortality of humans when they are shot or blown up and still walk away. This film shows the horror that is the dregs of mankind. Although a bit too graphic and over violent, films like Saw and Hostel are revealing the monsters that exist within the human animal. Supernatural has become boring, this was gripping.

It's kind of disturbing rating this movie (I mean, did I enjoy watching this? Was it fun?) It was certainly not enjoyable. It was certainly not fun. But it delivered what it set out to do and it did so, quite well, I might add. Very well done. Yet, watch at your own risk.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] Terrifying. Disturbing and realistic," The Last House on the Left" is about 2 teen girls who get brutally raped and one of them murdered. One girl gets away and somehow manages to get to her parents' house. When the ones responsible stumble upon the girl parents' house, at first they don't realize who they are. But sooner or later, the truth is always bound to come out. But it's the girls' parents who realize first who the mysterious group is and what they've done, and they want revenge for what they did to their daughter. Good movie, but there was one scene when I was tempted to turn off the movie; and I think you all who've seen the movie know which scene I'm talking about. But overall, pretty good movie. Thumbs up!

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES EVER!! And just to let you know the rape scene wasn't even that bad! But there are some brutal deaths... if your not much for gore this movie isn't really for you... but personally... I LOVED IT!

This is not a soo bad movie. A lot of you are saying that this movie is not good for kids. Maybe you are right but they can also learn something from this movie. Like they should never hang out with anybody they don't know unless you're in a big group of friends. Having too much fun can also turn into a nightmare. You should go see it.

Fantastic movie a must see full of suspense action/drama don't pay attention to the low rating seen by a male & a female who both give it super high marks. Don't leave before the ending credits or you will miss a super ending.

Fairly intense, has some realistic violence, the only downer for me was that the bad guy was the same dude from Terminator and I kept picturing him going all metal on them. Good revenge flick.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] The previews to this movie gave me a hope to believe that the master of horror WES CRAVEN, would make a cheesy 1972 movie really good. Instead, this stinker sucked all around. The parents' revenge should have been more gory, painful, and tortured. They got the easy way compared to their daughter. It was completely unrealist and just stupid.

After hearing all the reviews on this movie I was actually expecting worse as far as the violence etc. It was disturbing but I guess not so bad when you are expecting it. Pretty good movie, some funny cheesey parts typical of a horror movie. The parent's in the movie are easy to sympathized with and even justify their violent retaliation. Neat ending.

The nostalgic factor of horror movies gone by actually made me enjoy this movie. As predictable as it was, I enjoyed the bad guys (and one mean chic)they had a kind of intensity of "Deliverance" - you know, white trash idiots who have nothing better to do than freak out normal law abiding citizens who are minding their own business. The ending was typical but again, it felt good, just like those old fashion endings used to be. There's nothing new here but all in all it's good to see mean people get their just desserts.

Extremely disturbing. An excuse for gore, violence and sadistic imagery. Both my boyfriend and I hated it, and wished we'd walked out before the rape scene. Not enough left to the imagination, and too few storylines wrapped up at the end of the movie. A waste of time, money, and talent of those involved in making this almost snuff film.

I really loved this movie :) The acting was really good... The beginning was long but it kept me interested. It was decent gore with a good story line to go with it (not pointless like the Saw series) All the way through the movie I was sitting there saying," Don't kill Justin! Don't kill Justin!!!" (talking about my favorite character in the movie)

I find it really funny that people are giving it a bad review because it was gory and graphic. Don't go watch a scary movie if you're not ready to see that. ANYWAY, this movie was very well made. Not a single boring moment in it. I've seen a lot of scary movies, but never seen a movie that literally had my heart pouding, sitting on the edge of my seat. It's unpredictable, raw, real, graphic, and sad. They didn't sugar coat anything which I love. Yes, there are uncomfortable scenes, I definitely would not suggest this to people who can't handle some discomfort. But to all you movie lovers who like scary, raw, real and intense movie, this is a must see!

Not a movie for people who are not into the movie genre of 'realistic gratuitous violence'- and even then not a slasher-gore movie - the scenes in question are horrific in presentation rather than glamourized. It was well filmed and the characters were realistic and not goofy. It is a disturbing movie so read all the comments here before seeing if this is your kind of movie; note too, if you're tempted to walk out after the first half of the movie, you'll miss the very 'lively' last half of the movie. Several screamy parts too. It was a very engaging movie throughout. The only annoyance which I pray the theater staff will address immediately is that particularly in 'dark' horror / suspence movies, there is the growing annoyance of young people pulling out their 'blackberries' to read 'backlit' email messages- A HUGE DISTRACTION TO SEE THESE THINGS TURNING ON IN SOMEONE'S HAND NEXT TO OR IN FRONT OF YOU... In particular are certain young ladies doing this every 5 minutes! I hope their stupidity will be corrected by either PRE-MOVIE screen reminders for people to turn off phones AND blackberries OR better yet the way in the past cinema staff would go on stage before the movie started, and tell the audience not to bother others with distracting phones + blackberries in operation. Apart from that, a great moneys-worth movie if you're a fan of the oxymoron 'entertaining/disturbing' horror-violence genre -so I give it full marks for accomplishing that goal. It's one of the rare movies to come out lately you'll likely talk about recalling the various highlight scenes with excitement once its over.

For all those complaining about the gore and rape scene... grow up, real life isn't going to suck in the blood or speed up the rapes so that YOU don't have to suffer through it... don't see graphic movies if you can't handle it I thought it was a well done movie, wes craven helping remake it was definitely a good idea... not better than the original but for those who don't like movies from the 70's, this ones still pretty great.

You're going to see a remake of one of the revolutionary horror movies of the past few decades. Why did it revolutionize? Because it was graphic... it was real... and it makes you feel uncomfortable. All of you who felt uncomfortable during this movie should have given it a 10. It was true art in the sense it made you feel what it wanted you to feel. You aren't supposed to feel good. You are supposed to be affected by this movie... not just effected. Go see this amazing work of art!

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] Awesome horror movie. The deaths in this movie were on a whole new level of amazement. The rape scene I do admit was a bit much. [ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] Over all, I thought it wasn't too bad. The story was good. Also, as a thriller it did well and the murder scenes were great. Really, my whole theatre applauded after every killing. It may be a little graphic for some in both sexual content and gore. If you can't handle a full on rape scene and a guy getting his head microwaved, please don't go and save the employees form cleaning puke off the floor. If you have a strong stomach, a free night, a couple of friends and 10 bucks in your pocket, it's pretty much worth it.
