I loved that movie. A friend suggested it years ago and I was happily surprised. Also look for the sequel: Cube 2: Hypercube Peter.

The Cube is a movie that has alot of potential of being a great flick. The concept of the movie is very strong however the script of the film could use some work. Basically the movie begins with an eye opening up - then we see a man very scared in a room, and his body is then dysected into little pieces by a thin wire fence, that he has walked through by accident. This scene is very intense, and I wasn't sure what was going on. Soon other people find themselves in a room and they start asking each other questions, especially the Quentin, a policeman. However, no one can remember how they got there and no one could figure out what the purpose of being inside a large cube could be. Each of the 6 people have skills that could indeed lead to freedom, but the interpersonal relationships lead to their own destruction instead. The movie gives hints of psychological mysteries but as soon as Quentin deliberately drops Dr. Holloway, in the second half of the movie - the story takes a turn for the worst. I think that when people are under pressure, we can all do crazy things, but letting someone "die" crosses all kinds of boundaries. Some positive points in the movie were the sound sequences- squeak, zoom, etc. And the colors of the rooms, the math equations and the moving puzzle pieces.

Great film, good plot, always keeps you guesing, the violence is good, thought the ending was great and didn't ruin the rest of the movie.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this movie. I was expecting a generic trashy horror movie, albeit with an original setting, but it turned out to be very enjoyable. It wasn't perfect - some more description of certain aspects of the plot was needed, and the ending, although quite good, really didn't seem right (not to say it should of had a happy ending it's just that! SPOILER! A huge badly beaten cop suddenly appearing out of nowhere with a large spikey thing, somehow managing to be completely silent while he does this, just seemed tacked on) But still, I enjoyed it, and although slight tweaking would of helped I don't think I can name a single movie where that isn't true. So, if you're not going to be overly pedantic about small mathematical inconsistencies, watch it!

A must see for any sci-fi fan. Crazy, ingaging and thought-provoking no high school or collage student should go without seeing it.

A great film with an excellent Jean Paul Sartre's philosophical masterpiece reference about existencialism. It's very psychologic and there's no doubt it's a must-see movie for everyone. L'enfer, c'est les autres... Here's the unreasonable human behaviour.

Excellent film. An original film in a (recently) stagnant genre.

Cube is a weird but original psychological movie. The coolest thing is that it's a canadian movie. It's not the best buts it's a must see.

This movie is quite remarkable. It is a suspenseful, engaging psychological thriller that ranks as a real achievement in originality. That it did this on a shoe string budget is extraordinary.

A really good movie, but it`s not for everyone. It`s the simplest movie I saw but one of the best. Proof that you don`t need $millions$ to touch people and make them think.

I liked this movie a lot. Very suspenseful, very gory, but within context. As much as I liked it, I couldn't sit through it a second time, though. Also, I thought the cliche ending took away from it a bit. Otherwise, it might have been an 8.

A cool movie with lots of philosophical and theological innuendos. It's great for suspense. I don't understand all this upset about the ending. I thought it was great. If everything is spelled out for you, the magic is lost. Better to be left guessing!

One of the few original movies that reminded me of some good short s-f stories dealing with IQ tests delivered by misterious strangers. Very Kafka !!!

I really liked this film, the ending was strange, but it gets people thinking, which not too many movies do these days. The best part is how even in the worst situations it'll bring out best in some, but the worst in others. The story was tight, and the action was gripping. I found myself gasping for air at times which I don't do very often. I just hope more people hear about this film and enjoy it as much as I did.

I was dissapointed with the ending. I usually don't mind depressing endings but I was so involved in this film I was literally screaming at the characters. I did enjoy it for the most part though, and I commend the directer's bravery for not following the typical hollywood format.

I'm French: that explains my bad English ! Many of my friends found the end of the film bad ! ... but I found it very good, because I think that an other and like the end of The Truman Show (in cube they would have return into normal life) would have been strange in this film !!! The only thing I found not good: the action is not strong enough ! Dan
