[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] I remember waiting in line at the theatre to see this and saw people leaving the cinema, more than a few in tears. I am not easily moved to gross displays of emotion but I was literally shaking with sadness at some of the scenes in the movie. Michele Pfieffer's confession that "she'll never be enough" left me staring at the floor for about 5 minutes. If ever there was a tear jerker this is it. A decent story, a little unrealistic at the end but the acting was among the best seen in years. Proof that Hollywood can still put out a good/great movie every now and then. 9/10.

Sean Penn deserves an award in this movie as well as Dakota Fanning. Michelle Pfeiffer did an excellent job too! The story tells us that exceptional people should have rights on custody like everybody else. It also teaches about great sense of responsibility and ability to love unconditionally. A superb movie!!!

TO BE HONEST, I "hated" Sean Penn's acting IN every MOVIE he ever did, ***BUT**** this is the REASON why ACTORS(even Sean Penn) should GET EMMY'S!!! This was the most authentic, genuine and UNCONDITIONAL love of a heart felt intended movie in years!!! Absolutely the best performance for Sean Penn in movies ever! He made the other actors/actresses fall right into place!! Well done Dakota Fanning! Years of entertainment to come with this little one!! Oh Yeah, have a "Tissue" hand!!

I Am Sam is a touching, outstanding, excellent movie that touched my heart with love. Its sad yet teaches you that there is room for everyone in this world, and you should except everyone for who they are. I loved it, if you havent seen it, you've really missed out. (Sean played his part outstanding and the little girl is an actress that we will be seeing a lot of. She was amazing)

I truly believe that any show that has the thing about it that can make you cry is amazing, because it allows you to feel with the characters. And 'I am Sam' is one of those shows that has the ability to make me cry and love and sympathize with the characters. Sean Penn is brillant, and the same goes to Dakota Fanning.

I saw "I Am Sam" and it was one of the greatest movies I have seen in a long time. I saw it when I was in Edmonton, Alberta last March and I had to buy it on D. V. D. Since then I have recommended it to everyone. Sean Penn gives an excellent preformance.

This was the most heartfelt and tragic movie I have ever seen. I was touched by every scene and astonished by the profound acting by Sean Penn, Michelle Pfiefer, and the talented Dakota Fanning. I am Sam is one of my favorite movies because it has touched me and proves a valuable lesson that love is the most powerful.

Sean Penn was great, as was Ms. Pfieffer. Story had a lot of depth and avoided the simple happy story to give us a more satisfying and interesting happy story. Well worth the watch.

I Am Sam, should have been entitled I Am Lame! What a farce, unbelievable that we are expected to swallow this weak fairytale premise! Anyone remotely involved with challenged individuals or the law Will be truly insulted. I have one question though; did something actually happen between Sam and Rita, because if that's what they want you to believe then I'm going to puke!

What can I say. Those who didn't like this film must have a heart of steel. Sean Penn has proven himself once again as a great actor. Michelle Pfeiffer was excellent as a pre-occupied person dealing with her own problems. Dakota Fanning is someone to watch out for, she delivered a fabulous performance. The choice of music fit so perfectly with the scenes. The comic scenes did little to relieve the lump I had in my throat from scene one to the very end. I cried all the way through at the innocent beauty and honesty of Sam. We should all learn from this film about the real values in life.

This movie was very good. It didn't make me cry but it made my cuzins and my mom cry. The camera movement was kool how it changed in different directions in one scene. I like the part in the movie where Sean and Dakota were on the beanbags and they were singing. Very good movie, get it.

Absolutely terrible! From the filming technique (like NYPD Blue) to Michelle's horrible acting (but God, is she beautiful) Some of Sean Penn's scenes were commendable though and the daughter was adorable. The courtroom scenes were the worst.

Everyone did an amazing job in this movie. It was a great movie. I think everyone should see it. It has a great story line and it's got a good point to it. That treat everyone how you would want to be treated. I think its just a great movie. I cried near the end b/c'est it was really sad. It was a type of movie that it had the funny parts where you could laugh and then it had the serious parts. I loved this moive, and think that everyone should go and see it. A must see film. The actors did a great job of acting. Everyone should fill it.

This movie was absolutly outstanding!!! Sean Penn deserved the best oscar award for this one... I cannot believe there are people out there that don't like this movie. And the whole camera effect was to give it a different sort of edge to it and I thought it was kewl... some of the shots in the movie were so kewl like the one when they are all walking across thw road with ballons that was touching and funny... this movie is worth you while to go see I highly recommend it. I would have given it a 15 but they won't let you.

I am Sam was a superb movie and would recommend it for everyone to go see it. It shows that we the "normal" population can be very ignorant. I took a brain injured fellow that I work with and asked his opinion and he said it was so true that mentally handicapped people are intelligent, caring and human beings as well. Sean Penn had his work cut out for him by doing this part. It must have been a challenge "no punn intended" to do this roll. It was a very touching movie and no woman came out from seeing the movie that didn't have red eyes. For the men I heard all good comments coming from them. A must see movie.
