NOW... My Favourite Movie Of ALL TIME! Beautiful message, extraodinary characters, exciting suspense, thrilling action, and brilliant cinematography/directing/costumes-makeup...

Bottom line: Although long in run time, the movie makes up for it with a great message and characters that you invest in. Truly a great movie- not a cheap and quick 'hollywood' script either.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] Auditory listeners will be astounded by the brilliance of the power and magnificence of the Wachowski Brothers' "V for Vendetta." A uniquely steady pace, with some irrisistable scenes - especially when Evey was kept in detainment, while reading a womens life story written on toilet paper. Which was probably the most powerful moving part of the film. The beginning was, or prologue, I thought was interesting. Shwoing bothe Evey and V getting ready to leave past curfew, and obviously the picture is assembled to be some time in the future. How V and Evey collide into each others lives, when Evey is blamed forthe destruction of a building V rapidly blew up about 15 minutes in. And then that's when the whole story begins. You get to learn more and more about V's history, and how he has to wear a suit and mask on all the time. And viewing the disturbing but emotionally driving murders V does. And how Evey gets closer in their relationship. The story is fluently captivating with many relating twists with the characters and history, involving with the virus thing at Saint Mary's. Itwas a cool movie. The best sequence in the film was when V enters the building where Evey works and, well I can't spoil it. But it's probably around quarter way in. I have to say, I'm extreemly impressed with this films beautiful design and script. It's probably the most sophistifacted picture of the decade. Go see this classic now. !

I was absolutely blown away when I saw this film. It was AMAZING! Natalie Portman is a stunning actress. Definitely a must see! An interesting fact: the chancellor (bad guy) is played by the same actor who played Winston (good guy) in an old old version of 1984!

It was a very good movie, I loved the acting, the story plot, the costumes and the setting and the moral but it was too long for what they wanted to show and I feel there are some gaps between the acting... I can't really explain but that movie is worth seing so enjoy!!!

This movie was complete and utter garbage. Moviemakers were clearly misinformed. The content could only appeal to people who are easily swayed by sensationalism. I was disgusted and frankly insulted by the underlying messages. Makes left-wing extremists look mild in comparison. Wish people would get informed and THINK before making movies, rather than creating such drivel. To the people that got all excited by this movie: I'm glad you're able to enjoy the action without catching the hidden messages = saves you a massive headache. All in all- lost my respect for Natalie Portman. Will never ever again see a movie with someone who would sell out for something so completely unintelligent, and thoughtlessly made. Don't see it = Save your money, time and mental health.

Fantastic film! Thrilling action scenes, neatly plotted, excellent acting--this movie had it all. The only fault against it is that the English accent affected by the American star, Natalie Portman, kept slipping.

This is a movie the way I like it. A lot of action, a good plot. Everything that happend in this movie, with all the conspirations is a reflection of the real world and can be transposed into our real life to makes us think about the gouverment and all the lies the population is being fed. This movie realy made me reflect on a lot of things, like any good movie should do.

This movie was amazing! The only reason why I saw it, was because The Wachoweski Brothers wrote it and I loved The Matrix. This movie was a little confusing. But, the ending was phenominal!

I don't know whether I should have liked the movie as much without Nathalie Portman, but her performance was thrilling, and so was Hugh Weaving's performance as "V". His only way to express himself was by the spoken word, and this he did extremely well. I was just captivated, sucking in every fast-spoken, expressive line of this ambivalent hero. Apart from that, the story might have had some flaws, but that wasn't seriously disturbing. On top, you see some good action scenes and very intense pictures.

Portman succeeded in capting my total attention... A real thriller! What could have made it better is a technical thing: Being set in the future, they should have used "futuristic" designs, at least when it comes to cars and other technology... I won't reveal the content of the movie, but at the end, something happens to a symbolic landmark... When watching the movie, I wished this could be the destiny of another landmark, in another country, whose government is doing so many bad things it probably deserves what happens in the movie!!!

This is the kind of movie that has good intentions but just doesn't pull it off. The story has been done before (fascist England) and the writers don't let you figure anything out on your own. The plot is spoon fed to you with flash backs and narratives. Also the sceens that were supposed to be emotional and intense (such as when Natalie Portman has her head shaved) come off flat and left me thinking: so what. This movie should have given the fewer a bit more credit; should have been a bit darker; and since the plot didn't keep me on the edge of my seat, then they should have stepped up the action. All in all I would say, wait to see it on DVD..

Honestly one of the best movie experiences I've had in a while. This film is straight out amazing. From the storyline to the characters to the relevance of the movie's futuristic backdrop to today's world, you for don't for once have time to wonder how they did something because you're so caught up on the screen... seriously a masterpiece.

I absolutely loved this movie... we saw it at a late night hour which I thought for sure would be a mistake cause I usually fall asleep... but Natalie protman did an amazing job! I think everyone will enjoy this flick, and I think I may even watch it a couple more times just to be sure I caught it all. Moves pretty quickly at times, and I wouldn't be surprised if I caught something new each time I see it!
