Amazing movie, I wasn't really a big fan of the Pirates films but this one I gonna see was AMAZING the acting was good the fight scene WAS EXCELLENT and amazing movie better than the 1st.

While the movie comes no wear near as good as the first it is still in many respects excellent. I thought Johnny Depp really gave a fantastic performance and it's a good time at movies especially the parts with Davey Jones and the Kraken awesome popcorn flick.

Loved it! The actors are amazing, and the plot is soo good! You have to see this movie, it is so funny and is filled with adventure. It has every good aspect a movie should have. IT IS A MUST SEE!

It's way better than the first one. The Black Pearl was repulsive and somewhat boring. But this is simply groundbreaking fun. It was intense, jaw-dropping sweetness. It the summers best movie. I loved it!

Not bad, not great. A little longer than it had to be with a few very unnecessary plot sequences... And what was that rolling-wheel-through-the-jungle fight scene all about? That part was awful. Some great special effects, but the movie tended to lose me as an adult since I never did feel that any of the characters were ever in any real peril, which makes this Disney movie through and through and best described as a kids' movie. Could have been better.

The attention to detail, the storyline, the changing characters, the deceit, lies, and constant change in scene, Pirates of the Caribbean :Dead Man's Chest had everyone on the edge of their seats. Let's hope that the third installment is as good, if not better than the second!!!

The first movie was a masterpiece but this is just plain disappointment. The movie lagged on for over two hours with only about 30 or 40 minutes of actual plot. Story jumps around way too much and the two separate plots of the film does not merge in the end. Many unnecessary parts in the movie. It's about the worst film I've ever seen (Well, besides "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow")

Why? This movie is much too long and has no actual plot independent of the first. This is 2 and a half hours of hide and seek plagued with gross-out scenes and lacking the clever humor of the original. It negates everything that happened in the first film and leaves you frustrated.

I really enjoyed this movie it was filled with everything I could imagine. This movie well where do I start, I as so exciting knowing that Elizabeth and Will were getting married. And Jack well he is full of surprises. I really can't believe that will got trapped on that ship with his father omg. And Elizabeth kissing jack and chaning him to the post. Will look so jealus and whats up withthat dragkon that like eat jack but he has to stay a live cuz there is like an other movie. And capten barbouses omg he like came back to life. The movie has great humor in it but probably a disappointment for parents wishing younger viewers to see. Some of the sceenes are a bit frightening for children. Johnny Depp, Will Turner, and Elizabeth Swann and excellent preformers. Some of the story line is a bit too fictonal. A great cliff hanger for another Pirate movie to look forward to in the future.

I love Johnny Depp in these movies, but overall, I thought this movie was about 20 mins longer than it should have been. Even though Johnny keeps my attention, the story was not only a little long, it was a little slow at times. A great rental but not something I would Rush out to see in the theatres.

Well produced, but clearly just a Disney cash grab. Both the plot and the events stretched suspension of disbelief to the breaking point. It would be a good children's movie, but for all those over the age of 12 who liked the original, avoid the sequel. It's no where near as good.

Pirates 2 excelled in action--so much so that it is a must to see more than once just to be able to catch all the action going on before your eyes. Johnny Depp is at his best in this portrayal of Captain Jack Sparrow making you want to see the upcoming sequel next year to await the outcome. In fact the best scene in the movie is his climatic leap into the beast's gargantuan maw. It was more than a pleasant surprise to see the return of all the previous main characters from the first--especially the Black Pearl's previous captain... or is that giving too much away for those who have not seen Pirates 2? Be that as it may it is an epic pirate fight and flight of fantasy reminiscent of pirate movies of old--only much better.

Best movie ive seen in a while. Way better then the first one... dont let some peoples bad reviews scare u away from seeing it as it is a great movie. [...] the only reason I think that I didnt give it a 10 is cause its wicked confusing ive seen it 3 times and everytime I go see is I see something new it's a Masterpiece, ive seen it 3 times and I plan to se it 3 more before it goes out of theatres theres new stuff in it everytime! And the best part in the movie is where the added Davi Jones in it like Holy [...] THis Movie Kick A$$.

Amazing. I'm such a fan of POTC series, though, so I may be biased. Everything was great, except sometimes the CGI was just too obvious which made it less convincing. Too bad, because the acting convinced me :P.
