Forty-three-year-old, Hélène has focused all her energy on her professional career, but she decides to no longer let life pass her by. Her desire for a child takes her to Argentina, where she hopes to adopt. She discovers Nord Este, a wild region where the landscape’s captivating beauty contrasts harshly with the social injustice in which people live. During her search, Hélène comes up against a society weighed down by suffering, where lives are crushed by misery that leaves people open to any kind of corruption, trafficking and compromise.
