One of the best if not THE best movies done by Peter Weir. Wish I could know what happened to the girls who mysteriously vanished during that afternoon. Very good choice of classical score, perfectly adapted to the atmosphere and the pace. First class camera work.

The story is fascinating, and the scenery is interesting. However, they could easily have cut 40 minutes out of this movie. The action is definitely slow. If you're looking for a languid, emotional (not romantic) story, this is for you.

I saw this film 20 years ago and I will never forget this filling after the film.Nice music very dramatic but slow action and these questions which are never answered. I like this kind of film.
