The first review...

I had great expectations for this movie and it didn't meet up with them at all. The characters are not developed enough, they lack depth and charisma. Some of the actors are like amateurs and undermine the movie. Dominique Blanc is underemployed, so are Jacques Bonnafé and Malik Zidi. The shots are ok but would have acquired a better quality had there been a kind of storyboard beforehand. The dialogues are too written, literary at times, and for a movie that is halfway between general audience and repertory, it feels like it is adapted from a play and that they forgot they were shooting a movie. Last but not least, it feels like they cut many scenes, some of them surely important for the unfolding of the plot.
