Willard Carroll has enchanted me with Playing by heart time and time again. I seem to learn something new everytime I watch it and still feel wonderful inside. The cast is by far the best cast I have ever seen on flim, they all have amazing stage presence and complient each other very well.

This is a great flick. Angelina looks great. Very sad though.

Playing by heart is fantastic! Is the best movie who talk to love of that way. Brilliant!

I was disappointed by this, first of all, the connection was more than obvious... Duh. Gillian Anderson was good, as usual; Jon Stewart was cute as a button, a twisted button, for sure and Sean Connery is always fab. Too bad, this could have been something... You have to reach a watchers' heart... Missed mine by a mile, or so.

The casting was well-done and the acting great. The best way to see it is to go without finding out what it's about - I was pleasantly surprised!

I absolutely adored this movie! It's such a light and soft-moving movie. Throughout, it's a bunch of stories about a bunch of people dealing with love, life, and death (mostly love). But one story is never told long enough to lose your attention or get dull, and just when you're wondering what's happening with that story, the movie jumps right back. Plus, it has an excellent cast of Sean Connery, Gillian Anderson, Ryan Phillippe, Angelina Jolie, Gena Rowlands, Jay Mohr, etc. I just couldn't find any flaws in the movie. In fact, I didn't even find myself looking for any, because the movie was so entertaining. GRADE: A+

A feel-good movie with honest and witty dialogue. The individual story lines are quite distinct but yet blend seamlessly together in the end. A very talented ensemble cast. It was pleasing to see Gillian Anderson play a role outside of her X-File Scully character and while Jon Stewart is no Mulder, the two have good chemistry.
