Magnificent storytelling, epic scenery, beautiful characters. A greatly assembled picture by a master craftsman.

Very powerful & moving - lets you see the opposite of the American version.

I found it compelling, exciting, and surprisingly interesting. It was like a whole new war (seeing it from the japanese point of view) and is definitely a must see!

WOW! A brilliant movie. Eastwood has impressed me with three consecutive great must see movies in a row. And this is the best one. It is refreshing to see a war movie not based on the American View. We haven’t seen that since Enemy at the Gates. So showing this tale of the Japanese side, to show the doom, their mistakes, and insubordination, all things I wasn’t expecting, was risky for Hollywood, and inspirationally refreshing.
