WOW, this movie is a must see!!! The acting was phenomenal and the singing, since Marion Cothillard is the one singing, is fantastic and impressive!!!

Excellent film. It really takes you into the depths of her character and life. My father is from paris, and I could relate to this movie very well. It is well done.

OK I know I'm in the minority here- hey, I was even in the minority in the group I went with, but I have to say this was more irritating than anything else. French music is the worst in the world. 2 and a half hours of it is enough to make you want to pull your ears off. And as for the so-called amazing acting, if you call pulling a stupid face for 2 and three quarter hours amazing... Well I guess it takes some skill. Not fun I warn you.

I loved the music and thought the acting was suburb. This was a history lesson for me.

Extraordinary acting by all, beautifully filmed, interesting structure that provides the essence of her life. And of course Piaf's singing. Marion Cotillard is exceptional.

Who under the age of 40 knows of Edith Piaf? As well known in her time as Elvis Presley was in his era, Ms. Piaf tugged at the heart of each of her listeners with a voice that offered both promise and solace. A blockbuster performance by Marion Cotillard.

Superb movie. One of the best performance by an actress in a long time. Too bad it has not been playing in the large Cineplex theatres.

Not a biopic per se, more a series of impressions that evoke the spirit of Piaf's life and work. Beautifully acted and filmed. I'm giving the movie a 9 but Marion Cotillard deserves an 11.

A really good movie about someone whom I knew very little. The acting was great as was the music; however, I wasn't too keen on the way they kept going back and forth with the story of the latter part of her life.

One of the most powerful movies in many a year. The acting by Cotillard was far superior than that given by Helen Millen in the Queen. If she does not win the OSCAR, you can bet Hollywood does not get it as they have done in years gone past. The story is gut wrenching and the life of sadness that Edith Piaf lived is handled with sensitivity. If you have not heard of Piaf, now is the time to get to know this songbird. I will go see this again and again. It is worth it and more. If the rating allowed me to give it 100 out of 10, I would have done so. Go see this masterpiece please.
