This movie wasn't very good. The animation was good though and the music! I still wouldn't recommand this movie. The beginning of this movie is so weird. Please do not see it!

WOW!! A must-see for everyone! I found the characters well-developed and passionate. The all-star voices make for a can't-lose cast, and the songs are all well-placed and well-written. The sound-track is great! This movie is also incredibly accurate considering it is not exactly an historical document. I was skeptical on the way to see it for the first time, being quite picky myself about portrayal of biblical events, but I owned the movie as soon as it was released and it is a hit with everyone I know, from the kids I take care of to my grandparents. Well-done Dreamworks!!

This movie was well animated and produced. It is one of my favorites that I have seen many times and will see again. It can be said that 'The Prince of Egypt' is not only a story of the prophet Moses, or of how he became so. It is also a story that shows a man who leads his people through their hardest times, even though they doubt him, and even if it means his "brother's" son being sacrificed... It is a movie of strength and beauty that will touch your heart in such a way, that you will never be able to forget.

Even though this film was animated, it was very well done. From the songs to the storyline, it always had me at the edge of my seat. Not only was this film great for kids, but even I, a 20 year old university student, enjoyed it quite much. I highly recommend this flim!

What I thought of Prince of Egypt is that it's really good! There are some part missing of the real story of Moses but that's alright anyway! But there is too much singing in that movie. But in conclusion it's a good movie, worth seeing.

This is one of the most powerfull animated films ever created. The Bible has never been done better on the big screen. And you don't have to be Ned Flanders to enjoy it. Wonderfull score and animation. Great characters and setting. Disney could take a few lessons. (Not that I'm knocking their work.) Best Animated film since Hercules. For similar go check out the Iron Giant and ATNZ.

It's a geat Movie!! But I think they changed a LOT of stuff... lIke Ramses is not Moses's brother at all! I read The Bible I know it pretty well! But it's still a great movie... even thou the Egyptians were tough! C'mon IT'S GREAT!! :) Ps: I'm Egyptian!

Fortunately, the majestic tale of the Hebrew Moses leading his people out of tyrannic Egypt makes a nice transition from the Bible to the silver screen. Dreamworks does its best to not allow the music and animation override such a powerful story. There are a few instances when the songs do prolong to an almost disatisfying musical a la Disney cartoons, but it is not done often enough to ruin the story or the movie. The Prince of Egypt is simply splendid. GRADE: A

I saw the movie over the holidays with my 3 cousins ranging from 5 to 10. I found that it didn't have enough action for the kids to keep thier interest going. There wasn't enough funny scenes to keep them interested, and I could see from the rest of the theatre that the other younger kids were bored to. Also, it is a little difficult to explain to a 5 year old why all the babies die during the movie. I find this was a movie more geared to older children of 11 yrs +. To adult of a movie for younger children to sit through.

All flash and not much substance really. The songs are ordinary, the plot is weak (having been changed slightly), the characters are uninteresting, and while the animation is good, it is not awe-inspiring. That last point is the most important for an animated movie of a story of this size. It must be so incredible that it would make you forget all those Easters you spent watching Charleton Heston plead with Yul Brinner to "Let my people go!". I'll trade that four-hour classic for this two-bit job any day. If you must see this film, wait for the $2.50 price and make sure someone else buys the popcorn.

Not bad for kids, but for adults the move did not offer anything new. If you want to see a good version of this movie go see The 10 Commandments.
