***It is not for the faint of heart, nor for children under 10, I would say. The nature shots are based on real places in a national park in Nara prefecture. It is a classic story fro Miyazaki (why does it say that the writer is Neil Gaiman? - not true) But I feel that one needs a little background on Japanese culture and native religion to really enjoy it fully. It is a beautiful allegory on nature and humanity, as well as how to live a righteous life.

Princess Mononoke was a spectacular film! A definite must see. The wolves are my favourite of the characters in the film, but all the characters were well organized, and brilliantly thought out. If you havn't seen Princess Mononoke, I advise you go rent it now. ^-^.

This movie was fantastic. Very few movies make me emotional, and this one did. It also teaches some very useful lessons in life. It was so good that it inspired me to write a story about it[...] So I suggest you go and see it!!

I've watched this movie 3 times, one of those times was on tv, and even with adverts it couldn't be ruined. This is a very artistic, beautiful movie. It's not as gruesome as most anime movies I've seen, but it's still a great movie for males and females. You don't even need to be an anime-"geek" to love this movie(cause I'm not one) It's definitely a MUST SEE!

This is a great movie about how fate isnt always the greatest adventure, but in the end the good always truimphant. This movie holds a special place in my heart, I just knew where I could buy it... its so hard to find it where I live.

This has to be one of the most amazing movies, animetion, no animation, I dont care what you people say, this was a great movie!! I enjoyed every single second of it, it was incredible, Ashitaka is soooooooooo sweet!!! And San is really cool; the aart is incredible! Everything is just perfect about this movie... exept one thing... in the end, I was sooooo dissapointed that Ashitaka & San didnt kiss or any thing... but it was still perfect ^_^. -Great movie. Fiorella Venturino.

Miyazaki's film Princess Mononoke was the best in all of Japan, until that horrible "great American movie"; "Titanic" outsold it. The animation was wonderful, and the story and voice acting was great as well. The only thing I disliked about it was the poor 3d/2d plant growth. Other than that, it was great.

Japanese people movies has done it again! Is NEVER N I MEAN NEVER boring watching a japanese movie! This movie was fantastic! I went see it almost 5 times! It was so good that I even went buy the DVD of it! Totally Worth it!
