User's review

This film is often ignored and less studied compared to other Hitchcock's films. I don't understand why. "Rope" is definitely one of the best film Hitchcock had ever made. It was adopted from a play, and that's why Hitchcock chose to shoot the whole film as if it is done by one shot, which is actually a combination of many 10 minutes shots. I think this is neccesary to shoot it this way because the story requires a real time narrative, so that we as viewers can follow with the time as well, and this makes the film more intense and enjoyable.
