Good movie, nice details, like the math stuff about nine dimensional matter, they even put a nine times closed integral to explain it. Just great precision in many others ways. I bet that not even one of sci-fi-haters that wrote nasty comment had understood correctly the in-depth level of detail shown. In this aspect very impressive. Only one question when will come part 2?

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] I think half of you that wrote those comments hate sci-fi movies... I love space and space movies... The effects for the jump were just awesome... And the whole "extra dimensional matter" thing sorta confused me but I still thought it was very thought provoking... The acting was bad... Except for Anjela Bassett I liked her attitude and Robin Tunney I liked the look on her face when she got blown out the watcha-ma-call-it, very realistic... The ending was neat the whole eye thing and all... But anyways I am giving away half the movie so I'll go...

I am sorry but the poor average of this movie is not reflective of the truth. If you like sci fi flics you will not be disappointed. I believe this movie sets out eactly what it intended to do, it is entertaining and is vey suspensefull at times. Be the judge for yourself!

Good movie ... No! Sci-Fi addict will enjoy because of the dimension drive. Once the killing starts, people drop like flies. A computer with emotions, dream of the human mind.

A waste of time and money. Thinking that it would be best to see it in a theater (big screen) to enjoy the special effects... well, I can't say that there was any :( We had previewed the trailers and it looked good - well, the trailers showed all the good stuff - we were greatly and I mean GREATLY disappointed!!! This is definately NOT a movie to bring your girl friend to if you want her to learn to love SciFi!!!! Save your money and rent Alien (with Sigorney Weaver) or the Relic!! At least she'll get to appreciate the effects and story lines!!!!

Well, what can I say? The only good thing about this film, the prviews looked good, for that it gets a 1. The movie was in a word, BAD!!! To put a twist on well known fraze, "Been there, Done that, seen it". A real disapointment. Avoid this one, your money is better spent elsewhere.

Aside from the occasionally nice special effect (I for one thought the Jump effect was cool), the movie sucked. The plot is the basic "we're alone and now there's a madman" type of thing and isn't convincing one bit. In fact, when the movie was over, everybody thought we had just watched the introduction to the movie and that there was more. Sighs and gasps of "what? that's it?" everywhere and after the realization that the 30 or so people in the theatre just wasted 2 hours of their lives, many "what the heck was that?!?!?"'s could be heard. Good special effects (not even, since I think the spaceship and such were highly un-original) don't make up for any lack of plot/acting. The fact that there's no climax to the story just makes it worse.

Any given Star Trek episode is better than this movie. Nothing original, generally boring and quite slow. Even with FREE admission it was painful to sit through.

There is little original about this film, but I was never bored. I really dig the "zillions of miles away from anywhere and I'm about to die where they'll never even find my body" scenerio. Good effects, decent acting, okay story, nice tit shots. So it's not a masterpiece, I still dug it. (And yes, I did happen to like Spere and Event Horizon).

I was hoping this film would develop some type of suspense, action, or at least a good plot with a twist or two. Boy was I wrong! Would good acting have been too much to ask for?

This movie royally sucked big time!!!! I think that their goal was to make it as boring as possible because the idea was stolen off the back of a cereal box. DON'T GO SEE THIS COMIC STRIP MOVIE UNLESS YOU LIKE MARTHA STUART SPECIALS!!!!!
