User's review

My first foray into Chaplin on DVD. City Lights was presented as a silent film although talkies already had a few years under their belt and Chaplin certainly knew his craft. Many vignets that were brilliant on their own, all tied together with a sympathetic 'little tramp' theme. Chaplin actually sings here albeit in a foreign language. Brilliant!
