When Torrance (Kirsten Dunst) is elected the captain of the Toro cheerleading squad, she discovers that their perfectly-choreographed routines were stolen from another cheerleading squad, the Clovers, by the Toro's former captain. While Toros scramble to come up with a new routine, the Clovers have their own problem - they need to come up with enough money to cover their travel expenses to the champtionships. Now with time running out and the pressure mounting, both squads drive themselves nearly to the point of exhaustion... but only one team can bring home the title.
