This is a pretty good movie. There is a good amount of action here. I think Wesley does a good job here. And I think people can learn from this movie. Because it portrays that there is more then to it then people think about the U. N'or CIA. They are not as peaceful mission as they seem and in fact they have their own secret goals.

A good story. But this movie does not live upto its title ("art of war") An alternate title like "Art of defense" or a better one would do. Over all movie is good and better direction skills are used. Superb action!!!

I could not make this film to the end... For hollywood buffs, it's ok. I liked the international scenario, Hong Kong, NYC and even Montreal. It just seems like lots of blood, action could just sell a movie but not for me.

Yuk... Yuk... Yuk... This was a total waste of time. The story was very very lame and the acting was awful. This was a BIG disappointment.

This is one of the better action films out there today. Wesley Snipes is good for the role and there are some good plot twists. Good viewing for a light night out.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.]
Okay, fun movie, great action sequences, Wesley Snipes is surely convincing in the role of Super muscled covert agent... And yet, the movie lacks something! Perhaps the storyline has some leaks in the end. Well I mean, some characters (and I write like this not to reveal the movie content) change their behaviour too dramatically in the end, o give the idea "yeah we were good, but in fact we're bad! " (or vice-versa, who knows? ). But altogether, it's really fun to watch, ENTERTAINING I'd say. What's worth the movie ticket? The action sequence where Wesle Snipes and the bad guy are hand-to-hand combat... WITH GUNS! (have you seen the Matrix? Same effects for the bullets... ). That scene really kicks ass!

Art of what? ... I saw this solely for Wesley Snipes... But like I anticipated it turned out to be too political for my liking which is not bad in itself if you like such plots.

Stick to watching the preview. This movie was unfortunately 2 hours long - and that was about an hour and fifty minutes longer than I needed to watch it. The opening sequence made the movie seem promising - but it lied. The movie was so pedictable if you don't know "the big twist" within the first 20 minutes this is probably your first movie. The acting was steadily mediocre - even Donald Sutherland couldn't add anything to it. The action scenes were forced and unoriginal. The plot was old - a pot purri of older spy-action flicks. And what gadgets there were weren't even that cool. Save your money and re-rent or buy The Saint, Enemy Of The State or (if you need to see Snipes) Rising Sun. The one saving point: The Secretary-General of the UN is Canadian in the movie!

Not the best action film but definitely worth seeing. I liked the way it revolved around the UN rather than the US. For once, Hollywood produced an action film without any super-nationalism. It was cool when Snipes when through the exact same sequence to chase the assassin the second time; those scenes were well shot and performed. However, the fights were not so great. Overall, it seemed like a new Mission Impossible, right down to the identity of the bad guy.

Why is Wesley Snipes acting in these mediocre films when he can do so much better? He's really ruining his career. OK, he can do action flicks, comédies, dramas, so why couldn't the writers have thrown in a few great one-liners that would have added a bit of comedy and lightened the movie up a bit? This movie was also very confusing. What, really, did it have to do with Sun Tzu's classic book "The Art of War"? I think this movie brought shame to this great timeless book. Anne Archer delivered her lines as if she was made of plastic. And why did they not give more meat to Donald Sutherland's role? Overall, this is a movie trying to be clever but came out confusing and silly. Furthermore, the John Woo rip-off action scenes really didn't work.
