Not the type of role Keanu would play, but he does it well. A good thriller it had a few bad parts but almost every movie does.

This movie was better than I expected it to be. I don't know about Keanu Reeves playing a bad guy though. That never really set in. I couldn't take him seriously as a murderer. I kept expecting him to say "Whoa! " All in all it was an ok movie. My final verdict: The Watcher is watchable.

It's an oh so cool movie, why? Because of the first 5 mins. If you think that the first 5 mins is bad then you got problems. It may not be the movie for those of you coming out of your caves just to see what's out, but it is good not great but good enough to spend 3 bucks on. I was surprise at how Keanu Reeves looked so evil, othes eyes man. Anyways it's a good movie at least a 7.5 not this 5.9 crap.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie! Although the background noise was a little loud, the action was great, and it was refreshing to see Keanu Reeves in a "bad guy" role. He was wicked. I also liked the fact that we never saw too much of the killings - that it was left to our imagination. Big thumbs up!

Much better than what people have said... Keanu did a good job and good suspense... I guess it's always better when you expect the movie to be crap and it surprises you. :)

It isn't as bad a movie as a lot seem to make it! There are a few very suspenseful scenes. The way the FBI guys figure out the identity and locations of where the next victims will be murdered, with a picture of said victim, is good police work. And, it all comes down to a very satisfying conclusion.

These Serial Killer stories all look much alike... Now, despite it is worth seeing Keanu Reeves starring the bad guy, he looks way too nice to be credible (but his acing scene is good). I was however surprised in the good sense by James Spader's performance... I saw him in Stargate, and he seems to have more acting skills than I thought. The actors' performance is good therefore, but the storyline is déjà-vu. Save your money for something better...

This movie is way too predictable. The actors played there part well but Keanu Reeves should stick to being the good guy. It wasnt too bad of a movie.

Very disapointed... I saw the preview and I was expecting a thriller but instead it was lame and boring! I am not even recommended to go see on a Tuesday...

A good movie, I mean just above average. There is nothing new about the story, that's what they can do about serial killer story, but the actors did a good job, they make it worth to see the movie. Overall, it's not bad.

Just say No to this movie. It was not exciting, it was not scary, it was not original, it was not a mystery nor was it suspenseful. Keanu needs special effects in the movie to make up for his wooden acting skills. James Spader was a loser and Marissa Tomei non-existent. This was like a made for TV movie with a big budget. Rent it, only on cheap rental night.

Keanu is a BAD actor. This movie has a TV plot that has been done so many times. The execution is dull. The only thing that was any good was James Spader and they didn't make the killing scenes very gory. Thumbs down for me.

A good movie not to be missed. For those who liked American phycho and those genre, you might like this one. Though, it is more serious. Verrrry dramatic. Good mistery, a bit twisted (like I like it), the actors are very good, the moods also are quite well represented but the music at sometimes seamed to be not well placed. Sometimes there was techno kind of music placed at moments where it would have been better if none to appreciate more the moment, but beside these little mistakes it is a good movie. I was really fun to see Keanu Reeves as a serial killer. He handled this role very well. I hope to see more Keanu's movies in a bad guy role. He handle it well.

I liked the movie, Spader did a great job, and the chemistry with Tomei was good. Reeves was very convincing as the bad guy. I think Spader and the dialog kept the story flowing nicely. One thing I didn't like was the distorted images we saw when we were looking through the eyes of the killer, ... much too distracting.

Very average. Nothing new here. Keanu should stick with the action stuff because he stinks in roles where he really has to act. The plot was basic cat and mouse stuff. We knew from the start who the killer was, didn't really come across as evil or psycho, the ending was a let down. Spader was good, as was Marissa Tomei, but then again there's only so much an actor can make up for. In this case, the script and story was a let down.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] It was very good, but I think that the guy shouldn't have died at the end.

Couldn't stand the movie, the way it was filmed and such. Digital Video is not the future of film making hopefully as witnessed right here, the effects look terrible and there is no real structure to the film. Tomei's character appears six times on screen so one doesn't get the chance to care whether or not she dies, the two victims other then her are developed much more nicely (not that well though) . |
