I really enjoyed the humour and scare. It is nice to have a horror not so gory as a saw one. Still some blood and guts but... The litle guy who played howard as a kid, what a blast great actor and tied in nice with the old howard who I think stole the show!! Definitely for me David Fox and Austin Macdonald were my highlights.

Yes, a tribute to the classic 80's horror comedies, but the real action doesn't take place until the very end. It could have been much better if the "horror" was all throughout the movie.

I went in not expecting anything because I had only read the reviews in the paper, and it blew me away how well done it was. The acting was well done, the story was fun and the monsters were pretty kickass. A great watch indeed.

I was one of two people watching this movie and that for many may be seen as a bad sign. For me, it's actually a good one. It simply means this movie doesn't appeal to the masses, which is great because you know you're going to be watching something different... and different it was. A low budget Canadian flick with some pretty cool monster FX. You could just imagine how much fun the cast must have had doing this. A worthwhile picture to see for those low budget horror fans out there. It's also a treat to see a small picture that doesn't take itself too seriously and doesn't pretend to be anything more than a good time with some possible scares in between.

I am a little biased about this movie. OK, I am very much biased about it. I had the chance to see a special screening of the unfinished movie a while back (no special effects and no original music) So I had already seen it in rough format. And I had really enjoyed it back then, especially due to the chance of seeing an unfinished movie (very much a work in progress) Now it is finally finished, and I went to see it today, on its opening day. I would have loved to see it with a packed audience (or even with an audience) as we were alone in the theatre. I thought the finished movie was good, worth seeing, especially considering it is very much a local movie, a low budget throwback to the B-Horror movies of the 80s (Evil Dead type flicks) Kudos to Trevor Matthews who really rocks in the leading role. He's got the charisma and the screen presence to go far. Kudos also to the writers, producers and director for putting together a worthy picture with very limited means. And mucho kudos to the great Robert Englund for agreeing to be a part of this small picture that could!!! Here's hoping you guys (Brookstreet Pictures) make many more feature films. And while you are at it, how about releasing Still Life on DVD for everyone to see your true mastery... 7/10, good movie, worth seeing... for the good old days of B-horror flicks!!!
