One of the best movies I've seen this year, maybe the best.

Terrific movie with fine acting, especially from Natar Ungalaaq who plays the Inuit man. Well-paced drama which is always interesting.

I don't remember ever reacting so powerfully to a film before.

Although Tivii's situation is very different from anything most viewers will have experienced, there are plenty of themes for a thoughtful audience to connect with. The acting is excellent, there are some beautiful nature shots, and the story keeps moving at a comfortable pace.

Sensitive characterisations, the pace was perfect for the subject and gently holding your attention, marvellous scenery! Bravo to all!

Slow, cliched, predictable. Little character development, not much plot. JJ Rousseau would have loved the noble savage aspect.

Wonderful story of human nature in it's kindness and it's cruelty. The characters are developed at a perfect pace as is the story and the acting is terrific. You feel as though you are right there with them. We loved it!

The unexpected topics, religion, racism, historical treatment of TB in the province of Quebec, and lovely cinematography all fascinated me. The acting was subtle and convincing. A minor cut or two could have tightened up the narrative. A great film.

Subtly acted by Ungalaaq, accurate characterizations of Quebecois society. Very sad but also at moments very funny too. Beautifully lit and shot.

Hi, This film does not have special effects or explosions, or fast cars and loads of killings, it actually has a story line. If you wanna watch something a bit different with the story of a man from a remote part of canada, watch this. Enjoy.

Beautiful Film! Characters are well drawn by excellent actors. Having spent the same period in a TB Sanatorium in Saranac Lake NY I can identify with the isolation and fear and the importance of relationships with other patients and staff in recovery.

Not for everyone. This is a slow moving, but touching story of clashing cultures and a nice depiction of Quebec in the 1950's. The film has some great Arctic scenery as well as wonderful retro sets. Worthwhile viewing.
