This is a very funny movie, the humor was intelligent not crude, and I really liked the plot, it was original and charming. It had an unlikely ending that I enjoyed.

Absolutely fabulous! As always with his movies. The only really bad movie he shot was probably Shadows and fog, but it doesn't count because Madonna is in it and everything she does is cheesy anyway. Those who criticize this movie would never be able to create a movie like that. If you think you can, good luck.

Anyone who doesn't like this film is not a Woody Allen fan. If you're not a Woody Allen fan, [....]. That said, one of his best films since "Deconstructing Harry". Great!

No offence to the fans but Woody Allen is an ugly little short man that everybody is supposed to adore. Probably the only one of his kind to get into women's heart for some reason. If you are not of fan of this old man, don't see the movie. You will just waste the time trying to get the decade of his presence on the screen and wonder how did he ever make it this far.

If you are not familiar with Woody Allen's work or have never been a fan, you will definetly NOT enjoy this movie. It seems that it is geared to an older audience and the humor is typical of his that doens't encompasses the majority of people. How much Helen Hunt can one take? She is not even good in this role. Theron should have not been casted, she stands out as the only person who can act and makes the whole movie like a joke compare to Woodu Allen's other movies. He must be getting old and tired, it seems that the spark he had once is gone.

It's not bad... typical Woody humour... that always gives good laughs, provided you LIKE that kind of humour... The story's pretty well pieced together too!

Does not make it into the top Woody Allen movies. It's better than Small Time Crooks but far from Deconstructing Harry. The cast, more specifically Helen Hunt and Dan Aykroyd, do a VERY bad job while Woody Allen, Charlize Theron and the others do very well. I'm starting to think that Woody Allen needs a little help with the casting in his movies or to go back to his old habits with a cast like in Deconstructing Harry, Crimes and misdemeanors and Hannah and her sisters... Some of the jokes are also being recycled... . but it's shame because Woody can really do the work of a genius.

Funny and worth seeing if you are a fan of Woody. It is better than Small Time Crooks, but it is no Annie Hall. I would put it on par with Bananas.

I didn't expect this movie to be good at all. But I was surprised. It's quite funny and the story is pretty cute. Woody Allen is funnier than he's funny-looking!

This movie may have a little less substance than some of Woody Allen's masterpieces, but it is still worth seeing. It has wit and humour, and excellent casting. And Woody himself is, well, Woody.

What would cinema be like without Woody Allen and his smooth comedies... I really enjoyed this film and would recommend it to someone in the mood to simply sit back, relax, and have quite a few laughs.

Very funny... Terrific on-screen chemistry between Woody Allen and Helen Hunt. While silly in places, this film is a definite must for Woody Allen fans.

Although by no means one of Allen's best, it is actually probably his best in a while. Funnier than his last triage - which included Small Time Crooks, Sweet and Lowdown and Celebrity - Curse of the Jade Scorpion is enjoyable from start to finish, in the light hearted way of Allen's minor works. Sure there are critisms a plenty if you stricly apply "auteur" criteria, but Allen is more of a quasi-auteur, mixing his ouevre from poignant gems, to good entertainment to occasional outright self-indulgence. This one lies firmly in the realm of entertainment. Perhaps with Woody's troubles of late, his souring relationship with his long time partner Jean Doumanian, and his continuing contravercies over his quasi-rob of the craddle, he was not in the mood for heavier fare. After all, he'll always be the lovable shnook, this much he knows, and knows how to capatalize on it once again here, in The Curse...
