I absolutley loved this movie! Rob Zombie is the master of the horror genre, as far as I'm concerned. Not often does a movie disturb me, but much like Rob Zombies' other movies, this one truly left me "shell-shocked!" In my opinion, you know it's a good movie when the nastiness begins and people start walking out of the theatre!

I am a huge Rob Zombie (movie) fan but this movie really disappointed me! The re-make of the original Halloween was both excellent and clever. The second was terrible and extremely irrelevant to any Halloween story. Don’t waste your money! And since when does Michael Myers make sounds when he’s in the act of murder?!

Was a pretty good Rob Zombie's sequel and very realistic unlike other horror movies. I mean in most other movies characters who survive, the next morning they look great and no scars or anything but in this one they are pretty scarred physically and mentally. I would exclude one character though cause it makes it look too much like Friday the 13th...

Wow, this movie is a classic rob Zombie film, kept the chemistry of his other movies like corpses and rejects rather than halloween, he made it great. One of my favorite movies. [...]

Great gore, Zombie goes for shock value all the way a dosen't care what people think, his movies continue to get more gory with each venture, this is a great take on the halloween series take everything you thought you knew about the series and the Laurie straud character and throw it out the window as Zombie continues to put his own stamp on the series which is refreshing to see as opposed to another replica of a classic.

I have always been a halloween fan and will watch any movie they put out not saying they would all be good I'm just a fan, this remake was good and I recommend it to anyone who loves the halloween series and by the way michael's mom isnt a ghost it's just him and his crazy mind bringing her back to life.

The first "Halloween" by Rob was wonderful, plotline and all. The second one is a total disaster. The plot was horrid, and Sherri Moon, you CANNOT ACT. If you loved the first one, don't even bother, you're sure to be disappointed.

Brillant! Rob Zombie did it again. A few very tiny things that I never noticed until other people had picked it apart. If you are more on the anal side when it comes to every detail having to be a replica of the original than you may be a bit put out. But if you open to a bit of a different take check it out!

I was a big fan of Zombie's first Halloween movie, but he definitely missed the Mark on this one. Any scary elements were removed entirely, the guy showed up right when he was expected to every time. The grunting was irritating, the kills were over-the-top, and they tried to give Michael Myers a more "human" feel this time around. I always thought the scary aspect of Michael Myers was that he was unexplained, just a madman killing everyone he sees. This was too much explanation. Don't see it if you liked the first one.

Okay ignore what everyone else is saying! If you are a fan of the original mike movies, don't watch this movie! Because your just gunna complain how much is WASNT a remake... but if you don't care about that stuff then watch it... it's a good movie ovarall, ignoring the little details like mikes grunting... really who cares... the movie was great to me and I own all the original slasher movies... I think all the actors and actresses were great. I mean how perfect do you want them to be? For those of you that are complaining about the acting [...] it was an amazing movie... go watch it! I promise you this movie is not a waste of money at ALL for normal ppl who love horror flicks but for those of you that like to get all into detail with the whole movie and complain about every little bad thing you see, don't watch it... this movie made me jump multiple times, I had to cover my eyes cause I was freaked out in some scenes! I thought this movie was going to make me really disturbed and depressed but its really not tht bad... it has just the right amount of killing and scariness.

I liked it. When compared to most horror movies these days, this one was pretty good. My only complaint was how Zombie has turned the Loomis character into a douchebag. I know Loomis sort of redeems himself in the end, but I still have a problem with it. In the Donald Pleasance Halloween movies, Loomis was the good guy, the guy who was determined to stop evil... and IMO, they should have kept him that way.

What to say? This is one of the worst movies ever. What's wrong with Rob Zombie? The character of DR Loomis was terrible, the actress playing Laurie is so bad and ANNOYING! The fact that the mother is a ghost is pathetic. Come on!! I'm sick of seeing Rob Zombie's wife in all of his movies, especially a bad one like that. TERRIBLE. And the ending? Just bad, bad, bad.

Let me preface my scoring by stating that I am grading it as a horror flick. There won't be any Oscar nominations for this or any other horror flick. One can't help but compare Mike Myers to Jason. Both wear an odd mask, overalls and their weapon of choice is a huge knife. Where they differ is that Mike is truly mean., ,, lol (There's nothing worse than a mean serial killer.) Jason tends to be succinct and creative in his executions. Mike though, delivers the blows repeatedly long after the victim is limp and lifeless. Some reviews criticized the plot... Duh... I know! I know! The white horse thingie was overdone, but really, the audience needs some respite from the bludgeoning, even if it is a bit silly. Mr. Zombie has great timing, uses dark and misty conditions well to maintain the onslaught of deaths/suspense. I would add that most horror movies today are almost comedic in their delivery. It is quite common for some deaths to elicit laughter form the audience... but not Halloween II. And believe it or not I think that all the acting in general was very good. A closing criticism is that Mike should be SILENT and deadly. I found his grunts gave him an almost human quality.. I would recommend this one over "Final destination" for horror. Final Destination's 3-D gives it an added interest, but lacks Halloween's sinistery... (Is sinistery a word? )

This movie was horrible... being a HALLOWEEN fan of the original series... I wasn't happy with them remaking it... but I liked Zombie's movies house n devil's... so I gave it a chance and actually liked how he went with it... so Naturally I was happy to see Halloween II... and I literally wanted to leave before it was done... the kill scences were too dark or U didn't even see it... u heard the sounds as the camera panned away or shot a different area (outside the house) and the White horse, mum and the kid Michael... was way too much and Laurie having the same dream... etc. was just silly... and LOOMIS being a media whore... horrible... will not be adding this to my DVD collection!! So disappointed!!! ASH.

After seeing four movies in the past 2 weeks, I decided to treat myself to a movie outing on my own. Yes on my own because no one seemed interested in seeing a Rob Zombie film. I think of movies in 4 ways. The classics: Godfather, Serpico, Love Story, Jaws etc. My Youth: Any thing 80's I love this one: Beauty and the Beast, Platoon, Silence of the Lambs. Lets laugh and scream: Any slasher flick that I buy I like. This movie will be in... I LOVE THIS ONE: It was Frankenstein meets Sleepy Hollow meets Grindhouse meets Original Prom Nights it was Brutal and good. You go Bobby.

First off why would Laurie have visions of her mother? She does not even know what she looked like. Second, where did the [...] White Horse come from? And third, why did he make Dr. Loomis out to be such a one dimensional jerk? Terrible.

Oookay, this is for sure not the best Halloween but come on, if you're a horror movie fan and that of course you like the unique style of Rob Zombie you WILL like this movie but not as much as the first one because personally it's been dragged way too far from the original H2. Love Dr. Loomis though!

If you are a fan of the original Halloween movies like me, this remake will leave you feeling quite disappointed and probably a little mad. The original two Halloween movies are classics due to the harrowing suspense and the cold, silent, inhumanity of Myers. Rob Zombie's vision didn't include either one. This movie would have been ok if it didn't bear the name Halloween; I could have enjoyed it as a mildly interesting B movie complete with ghosts and a psychotic killer. But to so badly disfigure a loved classic like this? I need to take a shower...

I did like the first one better only because it is very hard to revamp a horror series when you know what to expect after you watch the first one. I think Rob Zombie just wanted to have fun with it and thats what it was. A good, fun horror movie. Also, it was a an automatic cash grab. The movie was made for $15 million and it made almost $18 million opening weekend. The next couple months will be nothing but profit. Good for him.

I like Rob Zombie's music, but his directing abilities leaves much to be desired. His reboot of the first Halloween movie had a good story, but this sequel is just a series of gruesome, bloody murders. The killings that Jason uses in the new Friday The 13th are more varied and original than the ones employed by Michael Myers here. There are also dream sequences that don't seem to make much sense. Even though most of this film takes place at night, better cinematography should have been used to make the images clearer. The parts that I think worked well were whenever Malcolm McDowell (as Dr. Loomis) appeared.
