Okay, so Matthew McConaghy is a god, but he home-boy plays a devil in this film. Who knew? For horror fans, this is very good stuff - not fantasy, monster horror, but "this could really happen" horror. I started watching the video, figured it'd be okay, then after sometime, stopped it, put in a blank tape & recorded it. This is one of THE best flicks, of this kind, that I have ever seen. It's chilling, scary, unpredictable... I mean, man! - what genuine genius thought this up? It's a damn good movie - check it out, you WON'T be sorry.

I've just read some of the reviews... and I can not believe that all of you are missing one thing: what is going to happen if someone really believes that he is the chosen one and starts killing "demons"? We all know how "frail" is human mind and so easily influenced... god's killer... what the hell is that?

I like this movie because it is a story that concerns what is right, what is wrong and why. The determination of these things rest on perception, and are "frail." At least in this movie they are. The story is set in the buckle of the bible belt, and religon is the overriding influence on this horror story. There's a couple of good twists at the end.

Ok for all you people that gave this movie bad reviews you should just stick to watching movie like casper the ghost or scooby doo movies because this was one of the best Thriller I have seen it a very long time. Bill Paxton play part so well and did a very good job directing. I would for sure go see another movie done by him. Masterpeice go see it...

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] I watched this movie and after it started thought that this isn't so bad - then it just got stupid and not even scary - the only part that did scare me was when Bill Paxton killed with that axe - but the rest was lame. The only part I liked about this movie was Matthew McConaughy - he was so handsome in this movie - but overall - avoid this movie - if you want something scary - watch final destination or freakylinks or something like that!

I thought this movie was fabulous. I found the plotline deliciously disturbing and thought provoking. It had a creepy, dark atmosphere that left me needing to pry my shoulders away from my ears when it was over! Viewers who choose to analyze the whole time they watch this or any film may be congratulated on their fine detective work in figuring things out ahead of 'schedule'. IS there a schedule? Must all revelations be left to the last 5 minutes? Should foreshadowing be done away with in film? In hindsight, I realize that if I too had been trying to figure things out as I watched, I might have seen certain things coming. However, I chose not to ruin my movie-viewing experience by seeing whether I could outsmart the plot. I decided to just enjoy the movie and be surprised at how it unfolded. And call me slow, but I still have a few unanswered questions. I like it that way. People seem to either love it or hate it -- that in itself has got to make you curious about this film. I loved it.

So I am writing to all the review readers, frankly, if you want to see a movie do not read the critiques or do not get effected by it. That was a great movie it has been a while since we havn't seen such a big suspence and I will not believe that you could have prevent the end of the movie. So people don't just write something negetive about the movie just because lot's of poeple liked it. If you don't like the movie fine, but you do have to admit that the pictures and the travelling of the camera is great. Beside Making of that movie has been a lot of jobs so let's try to appreciate it. If you would have done it you'd like to be rewarded. Although everyone has it's own point of view, and everyone has to choice to critisis, but try to see a movie without being already informed of all the crusty ditails.

Although Frailty is a good film with solid, undertstated performances, it shamelessly rips off Unbreakable, which was a FAR BETTER movie.

It wasn't that bad... very dark and disturbing though! But I liked it, and I liked the twisted ending. At the beginning of the movie, I thought I had it all figured out and that it was gonna be very predictable, which wasn't the case. I liked it.

Didn't like it. I thought the acting was stiff, and stlited--almost laughed out loud at its plot predicability and wooden acting.

"Frailty" is truly one of the great American films and a very important film. It is, in that sense, a breakthrough film on many dimensions. Dark, disturbing, Freudian, the film interweaves many myths and goes deep into the dark abyss of the human mind. It is also a commentary on American life, fear of death, parental stress, sibling rivalry, and the rationalization of murder. It is about psychosis and insanity as well no matter what the provocation, be it spiritual or material. It is truly a terrifying horor story and social commntary all in one although disguised to play into the deep recesses of one's subconcious. Like pulling the demons out of our own hearts and minds, the film reveals to us that no matter how righteous one may feel about one's religious convictions, God's laws cannot condone mortals to become judge, jury and executioner.

Kudos to Bill Baxton on his directorial début. Chilling and misleading. One of the best horror/suspense flicks in years with class A acting and a terrific and surprising script... not to be missed.

There is a disturbing premise behind this movie, that is a little unsettling overall. Not just because children witness and even participate in murders, but the endings revalation about God and his ways. It contradicts what many religions often preach, but I guess that is why I found it very interesting. Many people will dislike the movie, probably because they are disturbed by it or do not agree with the unsettling ideas. The film does a fantastic job of setting a dark mood and what will really get you is trying to put yourself in Fentons position and what thoughts must be running through his mind while the events are taking place. The movie itself is not very "scary" but it will have you thinking about it for awhile. There are alot of plot holes and mistakes, plus being fairly predictable, but the movie is worth watching if you are renting it.

Far better than I was expecting. Was it just me, or was the whole thing partly a metaphor for the American Way: the slaying of demons in the name of righteousnous... the splendid closing shot with the sherrif beneath the US flag - "Gods will was done"? Wonderfully ambiguous.

This movie was really really good! I don't think it should have been called a "Thriller" cuz it was not scary at all! (well maybe one part but I wasn't the one to screem, haha KRIS!) Anyways, You should see this movie it's really funny actually! I laughed a lot at how ridiculous it was, and how stupidly the dad was acting haha.

Not since the Shining have I seen a horror/thriller that was underacted to the point of making for a great movie. The fact the it was so predictable gave us the feeling of being part of the script.

I cannot believe how many positive reviews I have read about this movie. I must say I was bitterly disappointed in every aspect of this pathetic attempt at a thriller. The other think that shocks me is that I only noticed one person state it was predictable. I wasn't surprised by a single thing that happened -- there were no twists for me, none whatsoever. I'm so glad I used a gift certificate to see this piece of trash; as I would have been simply livid if I had thrown my own money down this toilet.

They should make more movies like this one. Not because of it's content obviously, but this movie isn't your run of the mill hollywood movie. Frailty makes you talk about it for days after you see the movie.

I think Frailty is a great movie, I also think that some people cant understand such a great concept and an amazing story. It is supposed to be disturbing thats the type of movie. When you walk out of the theatre and say "man that was one disturbing movie" then you know the WRITERS and the whole crew including Actors, directors and all the others that had à part in the film did a good job. Lions Gate is above all my favorite film company they do amazing work.

I found the movie quite disturbing and couldn't get it out of my head for a few days. Really made me think about the concept of goodness and evil and how fine a line can exist between the two. It's definitely a worthwhile film to see.

People who dislike this movie seem to have two main problems with it. First is the violence. Second is that they find the movie disturbing with a supposed glorification of "evil". To address the first point, yes, the movie is violent. However, it is not the bloodfest spattered with violent actions that seem to have little consequence for the perpetrators and sometimes the victims. There is violence but there is little gore. And each killing leads to emotional struggles and challenges for the characters. There is nothing mindless about this movie (comparing it to Jason X is apples to oranges) To address the second concern about the movie being disturbing. Again, yes, it is disturbing. It makes you think. It shows you that "good" and "evil" are not always what they seem. It uses extreme circumstances to do so but it's a thriller not an after school scpecial. Entertainment and suspence are necessary for success. I thought the movie was great. It got a reaction out of me and out of my friends who saw it. It got us talking. Hats off to Bill Paxton, excellent work.

Indeed another pretty good dark film that sets out quite well... and ends in a satisfactory manner. Problem is, the movie Unbreakable was released quite some time ago, and Frailty re-uses the same concept in a different context! Casting could have been better in terms of not revealing some aspects of the plot... Anyhow... entertaining for what it is. It had been a while since something decent had been on the big screen in the line of movies such as The Gift... so this film did fill a void in its in own way. Quite a lot of gore for those who like it, and a nice mysterious and obscur atmosphere throughout.

Great film. Bill Paxton is superb in his directing and acting. The story is interesting and although the ending was surprising, it could have been something more. The thee of the movie is obviously: I kill people and then I think of God, which is a contradiction of what we are usually accustomed to.
