This was a pretty typical Hollywood-ized 'inspirational' underdog story... I didn't feel particularly engaged in this true story, as the stakes were presented in a middling manner. Bullock was fine, but not transcending. Folks may be more interested if they're already fans of the subject! See my full review on YouTube: "Gab reviews The Blind Side"

I don't think a reaction to a Hollywood film is indicative of the goodness of one's heart. I did say I see the true story as very inspirational; I just wasn't particularly drawn in by the film's treatment of it.

He doesn't have to be well spoken or entertaining in videos because he doesn't make them. I will not watch your youtube video because you [...] can't handle criticism like a real man.

It is much easier, and much less relevant, to criticize for something that one doesn't do themselves, isn't it? Very manly, indeed. I'm female by the way; very observant of you!

So where is your film about a football player then? I would love to watch it, because like you said yourself, it's a lot easier and much less relevant, to criticize for something that one doesn't do themselves, so I would be very interested in watching your movie.

The difference being that it is unrealistic to expect a film to be produced by an average citizen, but it is very accessible for an average person to post their own video (review) Critiquing something that one could try to do better themselves is inherently different than critiquing a major product as a consumer.

6 is generous, and the guy who portrayed the subject of the movie came off as one empty headed dolt. Too bad, could and should have been much better.

What does it say about the demographic of this movie's audience that a fair, unbiased and objective review like this is lambasted with so much petty hatred? Kudos for the review "livetowatch", if for nothing else than having the vision to see something differently than the masses.
