I sincerely enjoyed this movie. I rented it one night when nothing much was available, and I was pleasantly surprised. The cinematography was very different, the storyline had good twists, and the ending was unexpected! In particular, the characters were a little odd but definitely interesting and the setting (Paris 1800's) was original. Now it helps that I can speak French but even with subtitles, this was an interesting detective selection off the beaten path.
