Ok this movie is very good but I mean lets be honest here people giving it 10/10... it is definitely NOT a masterpiece... worth seeing however.

Perfect movie! A detail is very interesting. The old men (Sam the bartender) whom was closed of the two guys telling that Yeager does not fit because he had no the education was played by... the real Chuck Yeager!!! This movie involve an aviation legend and pionner (Yeager) and a Pulitzer prize of literature winner (Sam Sheppard)

The best description of a pilot's life, behaviour, manners and way of thinking. Movie is so realistic and powerfull. Must see. Still waiting for something even close, treating this theme.

Has been my No 1 movie for years now- I've just watched it again (01.03.03) and my mind is still the same - it's the best, so go watch it if you haven't managed to so far.

That movie has an heroic feeling all the way but still it never feels patriotic (I'm not american so I think I'd spot that) It just tells you about an amazing story and captivates your attention through the 3 hours. At some moment, you dearly want to fly to know what it feels to touch the earth shell. The réalisation is excellent, still up to date with many modern movies.
