It was a really good movie it was different, but nevertheless funny. It's a bit of a tearjerker because when me and my friend saw it, my friend cried. But it was really good and I would watch it again.

Johnny Depp is so cute in this movie! I loved it and I've watched it at least 10 times, yep, im wierd. But if anyone likes Tim butren, or Johnny Depp,. or any movie thats not compleatly boring and stupid,. then you'll love it!!!

So, first, the inventor put them there. Second, the plans showed that in the end he was supposed to have hands, not scissors. Third, the inventor was educating him to be an educated person, teaching him manners, etc. As far as I remember, the inventor was not teaching him to cut stuff as a machine and Edward started doing that on his own after the inventor died. Still, I think Depp is a great actor but this is one of the worst movies ever made.

Edward scissor hands was a good movie but I believe it is not as enjoyable as a modern movie if I had have watched it when it first came out in 12/14/1990.

Edward Scissorhands is probably one of my favorite movies, and it always will be. It represents wanting to belong, and not being able to belong. Even the strangest of people can find someone to love them. This movie demonstrates imagination, comedy, romance, etc. When I look at Edward I kind of get all mixed up inside, I see... beauty, kindness, shyness, and many more emotions all wrapped up in this creature/person.

First and foremost, the best thing about the film is its scenario. Suburbia inhabited by all sorts of stereotypical people (including a great performance by the Avon lady) is suddenly introduced to a truly unique character. Depp does a stunning performance as a strangely human scientific creation. A pleasure to see Price as the scientist. One of Burton's best, the ending is spectacular though depressing.

The enchantment of the fairytale shines, and the performance of Johnny Depp is stunning. Although he has few lines, his face and personality light up the screen. Winona Ryders beautiful face and lovely character completes the movie. Then, there's the classic tearful line, "Hold Me... I can't..." that somehow pulls at our heart strings and makes us break down and cry.

This is an amazing movie. Johnny Depp plays the naive freak with perfection. The funny scenes in the beginning is a sharp contrast to the ending. However I found Tim Burton effectively showcased the escalating tension as an outsider tries to fit in. I adore this movie and I am happy to see it playing in theatres again. Johnny Depp is worth watching anyday.

A note to what haktanir1999 said: edward was a machine that cut things it is not that the inventer put them there and also to what keep_it_simple_22 said: edward does not say "Me not Cheep" he says "We're not Sheep".

Edward Scissorhands is such a touching movie. I saw it on the t.v. and even though there were commercials, I still didn't get up to do anything! I even cried in part of the movie. It's just a fantastic movie full of love, fantasy and just a bit of drama at the end which was all part of my favourite movie of all time. So I would vote that movie to it's highest!

I really thought this movie was a funny, loving, adventurest movie that I haven't seen for a long time the only problem with this movie was the endding. I don't think that Edward should have missed out on the love of his life and have to live for ever knowing that he could never have her at all. But other than that really sad, sad endding I thought it was really a great movie!
