Creeepy. It could have had a little more to it. I was a neat idea, but they didnt really go anywhere with it in the end.

What can I say? I love Robin Williams as an actor - as a comedian(? ), I don't get 'im... anyway, Robin is an excellent actor. He does the hell outta this role and he's just a delight to watch, as he gets so involved in his roles. He starts out as an odd store clerk, seemingly dedicated to his work, but he's obsessed with a customer & 'wants in'. Not the best film in the world, but Robin make it better. Any directors, writers or producers out there reading this, that want to make their films, 'must-see' worthy? Include Robin Williams. The man is a master of his craft.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.]
I am a media/film & photography teacher at Epping Forest College Loughton Essex UK. I showed my students the film last week for a studied text for their exam in June. They were very impressed by the film and showed great interest. There is many concepts to study around the film such as Representation issues, mise-en-scene, genre and narrative. The students feel very comfortable to study this particular film and appying the key concepts. If there is any teachers out there teaching the A/S Media programme AQA Module 1 and 2 I would recommend this film to be a studied text. Looking at Photographers point of view the cinematography was excellent. I just love the shot when he is in his kitchen drinking a glass of water, he just Dissolves into the background -nice one!

The movie is a bit slow moving. But it is a great movie. It's surprising. Although you feel you know what happens, and can predict how it ends, how many of you predict the actual outcome. Unpredictable because it was closer to human nature than the usual Hollywood glam; AND it was scary because it is closer to human nature. It wasn’t what I expected, which I think partially has against it in these reviews. I blame the marketing department. A good job by Robin Williams.

I thought that this was suppose to be a horror/suspense movie, but it turned out to be really sad. I think that I didn't completely understand it, but I'm sure that for many of those who did, it was a very well made movie.

This movie really made me feel sad, because I completely identified with the character of Sy. Maybe a little TOO well; I feel like Sy a lot of the time. It did make me a bit frusterated and depressed. I liked seeing Robin Williams in this, I didn't know he could be so effective in this type of movie. I didn't like the scene with the language/nudity, but it did make a statement. The ending was annoying; it left everything up in the air and refused to develop the plot any farther, but it did follow in with the theme of the rest of the movie. It's not my favorite film, but it is definitely worth seeing and perhaps owning, if you like this sort of thing.

What a crappy movie. No suspense at all... To short no exciting parts in the movie. I just watched Robin Williams develope photos and the language and nudity was uncalled for.

I thought it was a thought-provoking delve into the psyche and I was amazed at Robin William's ability. It is short sighted to think there is nothing interesting happening, and I read somewhere that it doesn't mention his motivation, that's just not true. It's a frightening indication of what can be created in the minds of the lonely.
