I highly recommend this film. Lovely entertainment. Characters very believable. The interaction between the female and male lead characters is simply charming. See it.

I saw the movie 5 times and I am just waiting for the DVD! It has everything: drama, comedy, romance, good food, superb acting, specially Martina Gedeck and Sergio Castellito. Bravo, Germany! Keep making high quality films! December 2, 2002.

A pearl of a movie! Fantastic casting, marvelous music, and a hearwarming storyline. It's a must, and right up there with Big Fat Greek Wedding.

This was a lovely and charming film populated with quirky and very real characters. Characters, plot, music (and food!) -- just excellent. Best film I have seen this year and highly recommended.

This movie is great, except for the fact that I was hoping that the other guy would get the girl. Oh well, you can't have everything. I can honestly say that this movie had the whole package, good acting, good plot, witty dialogue, interesting characters.

Saw this movie last night and thought it was beautifully done. A nice mix of love/passion/sadness and joy. A true romance with a great ending. I would recommend to everyone.

I really must say that Mostly Martha is one of the best movies I have seen all year. The story and characters felt real and believable, unlike the standard Hollywood fare that is generally unsatisfying. If you are looking for a wonderful movie with real emotion and depth, then this is definitely one to see before its theatrical run ends.

This was one of the best movies I have ever seen. If you know a little bit about German and Italian culture and you enjoy it, than you will feel at home. Run, run to see it.

This movie was delicious. Both men and women will love it. The cast is great, the story develops extremely well and the mixture of German culture with an Italian flair and romance is "a must see".

Although the film is billed as a comedy romance, there is only a little comedy and only a little romance. It's a sweet film about a woman chef who is forced to look after her sister's daughter when her sister is killed in a car crash, and about how their difficulties in getting along. The romance element comes from an Italian chef who works in the same restaurant and who wins everyones' hearts with his antics and his charm.
