This was an unusual movie, the aliens were a bit over the top but still worth watching. The ovrall plot was good and Jonesy among other characters was acted especially well. Duddits was so sweet. The filmis worth watching and the book definitely worth reading though not an all time classic.

As usual, the movie version just can't compare to the book! So much vital information is left out that I can't understand how someone who did not read the book would even understand what was going on! On the whole the movie was decent, but special effects were a little on the bad side.

Very scary movie. Makes you jump right off your chair. Goose bumps all over. Usually I don't like those kind of movies, but this particular one I liked. A must see!

Dreamcatcher, first a book by Stephen King, now a movie but before you rush out and go rent it you should hear some opinions before you waste your money. This movie is supposed to be a suspense horror film, but it barely breaches being anymore than an alien, action movie. With known actors such as Morgan Freeman, who plays a military general gone crazy from hunting aliens, to Tom Sizemore, playing a bucko who has a conflict of interest toward his superior (Freeman) and steps forward for what he believes, you would expect this movie to have some well acted roles. Freeman was a big let down in this movie; George Forman could have done a better job acting out his part. On top of the bad acting in this movie, the mediocre plot of this film left so much untold. Not to make you think about it, but almost to the point where you didnt understand what was going on for the most part. The plot starts out by introducing you to a group of friends. One by one it shows you what or who they are, and how they are blessed with special gifts. These special gifts are frequently mentioned as SSDD, which is never explained. I have took the time to do some research on SSDD, only to find that instead of being some type of gift, such as ESP for an example, but to only mean a simple saying Same S**t Different Day. The plot than carries on too the four gentlemen out on a hunting trip, while flashbacks are happening to explain a little more about how the gifts were obtained. The plot is also so bad that if the director would have actually taken time to review his work, he could have made it so much better. Since I cant explain this without going in-depth to the plot, just trust my opinion. There is one point I can bring up, the special effects were horrible. The blood in this movie looked like spilled red wine, and the aliens looked better in Close Encounters of the Third kind, the aliens in this movie as usual for alien movies looked like stick insects with a venues fly trap looking mouth. However the big alien in the move looked like a split open worm. I know since the beginning I have been badmouthing this movie, but I gave it a chance. When I rented this I was expecting it to be an amazing movie, I was wrong. I am usually easily scared from horror movies, this movie barely made me twitch, but instead laugh at how stupid it turned out to be..

My friend told me about this movie saying how great it was. I saw reviews on this movie and it was bad. Do not listen to those reviews with a 6 and lower. This movie is a true masterpiece. Loved it.

One snowy day in the mountains with only one other person with you. A man comes and knots on your door and asks to get warm because he has been lost in the mountains for a day. The stranger begins to act strange. Your friend and you are getting kinda freaked. You put him to lie down on your bed and five min. later, there is blood everywhere on the bed and on the floor leading to the bathroom. You break down the door and there it is, the terror and horror comes and gets your friend and then it is begging to go for you. What do you do? Runaway, fight it or let it kill you because you are helpless? Watch Dreamcatcher to see what happens next.
