User's review

An excellent story of a brief friendship formed between a young woman unsure about her future endeavors and a middle aged actor in caught in a mid-life crisis, while travelling in Tokyo. I was glad to see the relationship stay non-sexual, considering the expansive age difference. Excellent pace, masterful direction, excellent performances (Murray and Johansen) A sad but realistic ending, where Murray has to return to Tokyo to face his wife he no longer loves, and Johansen who has to live with a husband she hardly sees (a Photographer played by Giovanni Ribisi)
