Charlie (Liam Neeson) is a DEA agent who's losing his nerve and wants to quit the agency and head for tranquil ocean breezes. But before he can quit, he has to complete one last big bust. He is after Fulvio Nesstra (Oliver Platt), a two-bit wanna-be mafia guy, who has now decided he doesn't want to be a mafia guy anymore. To keep himself from going completely nuts, Charlie joins a therapy group made up of corporate miss-fits and unburdens his fears with the group. He also meets nurse Judy (Sandra Bullock) who proves to be just what the doctor ordered. Meanwhile, with Charlie posing as a gangster, Fulvio confides in Charlie and an unlikely pair become friends and leave a crooked DEA agent holding the bag!
