I've heard people say it drove them back to the church. It is unfortunate that they are so easily moved. I never left and I will tell you this is an amazing movie, so real.

This is the most compassionate movie I have ever had the pleasure of witnessing. Mel Gibson has brought Jesus to life. Thank-you to Mel Gibson and James Caviezel.

WONDERFUL, life-changing! Finally, someone closely depicts the true suffering of the Master. Thank God for using Mel Gibson to bring forth the TRUTH! Praise God for coming to us, and loving us when we push Him away.

It's a good movie but I still prefer so far the movies about The Christ in the 1970's. There is even some part of the movie that doesn't reflect the Bible, so it's the only the problem I see in the movie. Hopefully the viewers will retain a good message after watching this one.

This is one of the great controversial films of our time. It's only a small segment of the Jesus story but Mel Gibson depicted it in a beautiful and cinematic way. Some have critiscized this film to be too violent, but these people don't understand that this does come close to real cruxifictions. IT is a complicated story that deserves respect and understanding. It is a wonderful rendetion of the Jesus tale and is worth seeing in theatres!

Powerful movie especially when you realise this did happen. How can anyone sustain such excruciating pain. Truly Jesus must be the Son of God. Congratulations to Mel Gibson on his boldness and courage to produce such a film - some faith. Brings the event to life but I doubt that any portrayal could do justice to what actually took place - one would have to be there to empathise with the reality of one man's suffering. That Jesus Christ, the Son of God, should leave glory to die on our behalf so that we can be reconciled to the Father God. On a not too flattering note, the hype before the release, tended to weaken the impact. A must see movie though.
