Scariest horror I have ever seen, next to blair witch.

I was extremely interested by the idea of EVP, but thought that the plot could have been more interesting based on that topic. I think it would have been better if they had focused a bit more on the psychological aspect of it.

I enjoy a good scary movie - horror is my genre of choice - and for me the true test of a good thriller scary movie is how many times did I jump and get goose bumps. Well in this great movie - a concept of which I think is not beyond the realm of believability - I jumped and got those creepy cold flesh chilling goose bumps approximately 10 times... not bad since I only had 4 jumps in Sixth Sense, and 3 in Alien. Definitely a must see - really good for late night viewing in the dark at home alone.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] If you like radio and TV with lousy reception, this is the movie for you. This movie didn't convince me that you can use a radio or TV as some kind of high tech ouija board to make contact with dead people. You'll go blind long before you make contact with dead relatives watching snow on a TV monitor! But that isn't even the concept. Keaton can see the murders before they happen on his monitors. I think they made this movie, it's called Minority Report. This movie just cashes in on the look of movies like The Ring and the concept of EVP which is poorly developed in a confusing plot..

Not as good as expected,.. the 'hype' around this movie made it sound much better than it actually was .. good for a rental.

The ratings for this movie sure run from one extreme to the other. I don't know why some people gave it a bad review, because I really liked it. Some people say that they didn't understand the ending, or that everything wasn't explained in every last detail. To those people I ask why they want to be spoon-fed? Ever heard of "willing suspension of dispbelief"? It's a movie! I thought it was very scary. We saw it in the middle of the afternoon, and I was never so happy to see sunlight. I actually didn't want to turn on the TV later that day! People who like movies which are cut-and-dry, where everything is explainable and you don't have to use your imagination probably won't like this movie. It does leave some unanswered questions, but we don't know much about the paranormal, so how could these questions be answered? In short, I really liked this movie, and would see it again. Don't listen to the people who gave it a bad rating!

The storyline took time to develop but once it did I found myself intrigued about the science of EVP. It was a treat to have strong acting performances for this type of genre. And also not to mention the scares and suspense weren't lacking either!! An original storyline. And for those who are just curious about EVP, check it out for yourselves!! Freaky stuff!!

If you like scary movies that keep you guessing, this is a gooder! If you can't get to it in theater it would be a good rental.

What do people expect with a thriller? You guessed it a THRILL. I can't believe some of the review below? Go see DRAMA movie for pete's sake. This movie is worth seeing in a theater, don't wait for the DVD. STONG ACTORS - COOL PLOT.

Boring until the middle of the movie. Picked up for about 30 mins. Then the end was so weak. Could have been alot better. But could have also been alot worse.

A good thrill, go see this at night. Keaton did a great job. In fact all of the actor's were strong. Something you don't see to often in a thriller.

A definite thriller, I can't believe this is based on reality.

The beauty of this movie was that it was not a typical Hollywood flick. It's a Canadian classic. Michael Keaton's performance was very well done. I thought it was very eerie, with a good build up. Not all the loose ends were tied up at end which I think is good. Why should the viewer be spoon-fed every detail - it left it open for the imagination.
