DEEWAR... as the name suggests is nothing like the Amitab first deewar in the 70-80's. Its totally different story... But this one is really good. Its nice to see that oldies like Amitab and Sunjay Dutt have not lost their touch. Aksheye was a bit off track. I think that a younger guy like (Sohail Khan, Arbaaz Khan or even Sunjay Suri) would have been more suitable to his role. Amitab by producing three hits in a row (DEV, DEEWAR AND LAKSHYA) has proven that he has still another 5-10 years in him. Its nice to see Sunju perform a totally different role from the last two movies where he played a mafia don (Plan, Munna Bhai) Well let see if Salman Khan can beat Amitab and Sunjay through his upcomming movie "Garv, Proud and Honor" and "Mujhese Shaadi Karogi". Overall all the actors did well. K. K menon has proven to be a new find in the villian role and Amrita Rao's role was short and sweet.

Cheesy, cheap story, anti-pakistan sentiment exploits, full of lies, stupid and redundent socalled "formula" based movie.

Okkay I didnt get a chance to read all the other reviews so I dont know whether someone else pointed this out. The storyline is downright horrible. The movie is nothing but propaganda against pakistan and includes such balatant lies that one is struck dumb wondering whose mind could spin up such stuff. Dont get me wrong I love a nice fiction but when you are making a movie pin pointed towards a particular country then you need to get your facts right.

Guys, these movie is worth watching it. Good story with good actors, but Big B is in a different class. He's not good, he's incredible for a 61-year-old man. Another Deewar after 29 years with Amitabh again. If he were 15-20 years younger, he would sweep the competition in Bollywood. Best action movie this year so far I think.

Very good movie, just a tad too violent! Great performances by everyone, superb casting. A movie with substance that is worth sitting for 3 hours. Only weak point is the love story which is quite useless. Nothing against Amrita, but the whole story sticks out as a sore thumb. Thanks to the AMC for having shown 4 Bollywood movies this month! I hope the trend continues, because I really want to see The Rising on big screen!

Excellent Movie :) Recently there was a survey conducted by collabration of many Indian & international TV channels and news papers, in which people were given 10 names of big actors and were asked that, 'in their opinion who is the all time number one actor of Indian Cinema'. The 10 names which were given were Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand, Dilip Kumar, Rajesh Khana, Amitabh Bachan, Sunjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor, Amir Khan, Shahrukh Khan and Hritikh Roshan and the results were as follows: The all time number one actor of Indian Cinema, as voted by the overwhelming mojority of people was 'Amitabh Bachan', while Raj Kapoor came second, Dilip Kumar came third and Dev Anand at fourth position, Amir Khan stood at fifth, Sunjay Dutt at sixth, Hrithik Roshan at 7th, Anil Kapoor at 8th, Shahrukh Khan at 9th and Rajesh Khana at 10th..

Excellent story and screenplay. Acting was fantastic by each and every actor. With special mention for the man himself... it's unbelievably how AB can pull off such roles at the age of 62. Climax could have been better and certain songs should have been cut out. Overall, highly recommended for open-minded viewers who like intense stories. Not recommended for the majority who ONLY want to see lovey dovey family movies and then complain that all Hindi films are the same.
